Robert Eggers’ 10 Best Films of 2023 — World of Reel
January 1, 2024 - Robert Eggers is one of the filmmakers that participated, and he’s written an extensive year in review for us. I second his love for Rodrigo Sorogoyen’s “The Beasts” — a film that’s barely been mentioned in any of the lists I’ve seen. r/roberteggers on Reddit: What is your favorite feature film of Robert Eggers that has been released so far?
August 6, 2024 -
I am sure we are all excited about Nosferatu and it may very well become most everyone's favorite upon its Christmas Day release. I am interested in seeing which of his feature films released prior to Nosferatu resonates the most with this specific community. My personal favorite is The Lighthouse, followed by The VVitch, followed by The Northman. Feel free to discuss your favorites and why.

It’s hard to choose, but I think The Witch is still my favorite. The Lighthouse was incredible too, but the pacing of The Witch and just the non-stop shocks and surprises really drew me in. Seeing that raw in a theater was one of the best movie going experiences I’ve had.

The Witch and the Lighthouse are tied for me. Northman was a decent film and I liked a number of things about it, but it has probably been my least favorite of all the films he's released so far, and there were certain sequences that dragged on too long for my taste.
