Ran to Target today for a Mother’s Day card, picked up a Dyson 360 visnav on clearance for $499… and a card!!! I’m not sure why it was on clearance at one of my local stores, but so were a lot of other things. I just impulse bought bc the price was so good. If it ends up being junk I can at least use it in my basement…
Is it as bad as everyone says it is? I currently have a deteriorating roomba j7+ I’m looking to replace. It just doesn’t work like it used to, hits literally everything, and is extremely loud.
I’ve sorted through now outdated reviews it seems like with all the firmware updates. Just a Dad seems to be the only one mentioning it got better with updates.
I have 2 cats (rag dolls with a lot of fur) and they leave toys around. Mostly hardwood floors, some rugs. Around 1,100 sq ft main level. We have shoes we leave by the back door. Random boxes etc. not crazy obstacles, so I’m assuming this machine would do fine? I’d love to hear others experiences.
I was planning to hold out for the eufy e25 or narwal flow. Had the early discount for z10 but decided the obstacle avoidance might not be great, might use a lot of water, and last min wasn’t sure I wanted mopping. I flip flop on the mopping.

I have one. I got a good deal on it like you (not quite as good, you beat me by $100). It's the best carpet cleaning robot vacuum. The navigation is terrible and requires lots of light because of the 360 eye camera design. Mine forgets where rooms are fairly often (especially if cloudy or the main lights aren't on) and it does get stuck often including under things like the treadmill or low furniture. The firmware updates have improved it dramatically in the last four or five months. If you accept its faults, you will be fine. If you want something hassle free, this product is not it. The AI is not as advanced as other products in its price category. Obviously, it doesn't mop. Don't let it suck up any cat poop or you will be in trouble.

It’s only worth it if your home is mostly carpet as Dyson built the vacuum first but forgot about the robot part until the last second.
Has anyone purchased or tried Dyson's new Vis Nav Robot vac?
I haven’t. Was considering it but went with the Dreame x40. I’ve had too many wifi issues with other Dyson products (fans/purifiers). Admittedly most are older but it made me anxious enough to go with another brand. More on reddit.com

I too have depression and struggle with getting housework done. I have a robot vac and a dyson. I’d pick the robot vac over the dyson every time. If you can get self-emptying, that’s even better, but if not, daily emptying the vac was doable for me. I haven’t had service issues with the robot, but I did with the dyson. In any case, most are handled by mail (in my experience in the USA). Mopping features aren’t ready for prime time. As an aside, using a HEPA air filter in addition to daily robot vacuuming was the combination I needed to keep the dust controlled in my home. Vacuuming temporarily increases the dust in the air. If you decide on a dyson, I recommend a cheaper older one. Recent changes are incremental. In my opinion the joy of the dyson is how easy it is to use, and that’s been consistent.
