My issues ended up being with SOC voltage. Once I bumped those to the setting recommended by 1usmus DRAM Calculator my system seemed to be stable. It looks like the new BIOS from ASUS does not set the SOC voltage high enough for my RAM. FYI, this fixed it with both manual and DOCP timings.

March 6, 2024 - Then they changed it to send in my defective board to their repair center and they will fix it. Enough is enough! The Gigabyte board is running correctly, albeit, I had to flash the bios before it would work with my 3900X. Asus has a more refined bios than the Gigabyte but at least my board works like its supposed to. I'm very disappointed with Asus right now and will not consider them in the future for any upgrades including routers. When I get the repaired board back I'm selling it and moving on. August 29, 2019 - It's going to be a pretty big bill, mind, as this particular X570 motherboard is currently one of the most expensive ones you can get, especially if you plump the extra tenner or so for the Wi-Fi model that I've got on test here. Priced at £390 / $380, is it really worth choosing this over something a bit cheaper like the MSI X570 Gaming Edge? Here's wot I think. The Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero does come with a lot more in the box compared to the MSI.
