I just can't see any justification for these extreme high end mobos. I consider myself an enthusiast with tech youtube channels being my entertainment and constantly interacting with PC subreddits. I got my X470 Taichi for $170 like 2 years ago and there has not been one time where I have been limited by my motherboard in anyway. These motherboards are I think just for people who want to say they have it. But I think that is just Asus products in general.

You aren't describing any issue with the motherboard. The motherboard will "recognize" any input in the appropriate "IN" pin and modulate power to the appropriate "PWM" pin according to your BIOS settings -- the rest is up to your cooler and its connectors. Zen 2 voltage fluctuates between 1.0V and 1.5V if you leave it at auto, check AMD specs and forums for more details. More on reddit.com
