As an owner of the x670e-I, I honestly don’t know why it exists. From what I can tell it’s the same board design as the b650e version with thunderbolt. But now you’re stuck with the hive for flashback and audio and the dumb fps card. Why is the clear CMOS a jumper you need to wire lmao especially with am5 memory issues and still only has 1 gen 5 nvme slot. Also trying to charge anything off these ports at high power like my iPad Pro or laptop shuts down my pc. No clue why and too tired of asus BS to diagnose it. But now we look at the b650e and ask what it does over the gigabyte b650 I. We get a gen 5 pcie slot that no gpu can leverage the bandwidth on and lose a m.2 slot compared the the gigabytes 3 slots The itx lineup seems weird and you just can’t have your cake with any board in the lineup. Nobody seems to be able to leverage the x670e chipset to its potential on a ITX board. I wish we had a msi x670e unify. With 2 thunderbolt ports 3 nvme slots with two of them being gen 5 and a gen 5 pcie slot it would be the perfect board. Also I will throw into my 3am rant. 7950x3d is dumb AF and instead of being the best of both worlds it’s the worst at both and I’m sick of reinstalling windows every time a 3d cache driver comes out that doesn’t do what it’s supposed to. Anti cheats just over right the driver and jump what ever ccd they want and all the driver does is try to park the freq ccd and doesn’t care if the game prefers cache or frequency. IMO no point in anything over then the gigabyte B650I AORUS ULTRA and a 7800x3d unless you really need multicore performance and half working TB4 in a 10 litre pc.
