The pin out has to be specific to the PSU, you can get custom cables from CableMod or others as long as they have specific PIN out information for the PSU. Otherwise you can use extensions but assuming you are using a SFX-L PSU you are most likely building a SFF/MFF system so more compact cables will be ideal. Rma this unit and get corsair sf1000(sfx one, not sfx-l). Super quiet in my build, have it for 1.5 years. Started with 7700+4080s, now sidegraded to 9070xt. Fan never spins at idle, doesn't start spinning immediately with load either, also fan is fdb, not dbb like loki, so super quiet More on reddit.com

Hi everyone! I'm upgrading to a 5080, right now im running a 3080 with XPG Core Reactor 850w, having a 7800x3d doesnt demand too much power, but I want to buy a 1200W so if I upgrade in the future I can still use that PS, the main thing that I don't know is... there is too much difference in those models? Can both work on my 5080? (I heard 5090 had some Cable issues/burning).

Hi guys
Not sure if this has been confirmed already but the new shipments of the Asus ROG Loki 1000W PSU are updated to ATX 3.1 with the new 12v2x6 connector.
I saw some discourse online where people were still receiving the ATX 3.0 version so wanted to give the heads up that the 3.1 version is out there. Ordered from Amazon.

I picked up that same psu the box says the samething using it on a 9070 xt nitro and had it on a 4090 with zero issues

Hi Folks, I've built a SFF PC using a ROG LOKI SFX-L 1000W Platinum PSU. My config is as follows:

So the new build PC doesn't fire up after I wired it all up. Tested everything but still dead. I checked the PSU using the paperclip test but the fan or lights on the LOKI PSU don't come on.
I completely d/c and removed the LOKI on the new build PC. I removed a 1000W ATX PSU (not modular) from from a very old working PC and only connected the ATX connector to the MB on the new build. The fan on the old PSU and lights on the MB turn on.
I connected the LOKI only to the ATX connector on the old working PC MB but fan or the lights on the LOKI or the lights on that old PC MB don't go on either.
Thinking the PSU was faulty I have raised an RMA with the retailer. At the same time,, I reordered the same PSU from Amazon late last night and it has come today but getting the same problem. Is there anything I should be (or not be) doing? Am I missing something? Tearing my hair out here. 😭 I've done builds before but not had this problem.
Would really appreciate any help please ...!

I just realized I made a dumb mistake. I did more testing on the Loki supply and cables. So it turns out that on the Loki, the connector on the PSU side is split into two - a large connector and a small one. So when I was testing the supplies, I didnt connect the small portion into the PSU. After noticing this I connected the cable fully and both PSUs now work with the old PC and power up the MB. It's well possible I did the same stupid mistake on the new build too. I have to now reassemble the new build and retry everything. Many thanks for all the help guys.
