Can anyone tell me what the 6 pin under the 24pin atx connecter is for ? I see some builds are using it and some are not ?
im guessing this supports Intel 13th gens as well?

I'm looking to build a reasonably good PC from the ground up. I'd like to go with DDR5 ram and Intel 13th gen.
Funds are medium-high, but not unlimited. I recognize that the ROG Maximus is better and has a nice built in screen, but practically speaking is the $600CAD that I'd be saving by going with the Prime better spent elsewhere on my build (better GPU probably)? Will I have any noticeable losses or regrets by going with the Prime?
I recently received my new Apex Z790 board. For my upcoming 13900ks and Team Group DDR5 7600 kit.
My 'old' board is a Formula Z690. But after watching both boards closely I'm considering using the Z690 again. I just like it more. It's more premium with the watercooled VRM's, mini display and the overall aesthetics and build quality.
The 13900ks should work perfectly fine with a Z690 chipset. But I'm a little worried about the DDR5 ram speed. Can this board with a 13900KS reach 7000+ ram speeds? Right now it's running a Kingston Renegade DDR5 6400 set just fine with a 12th gen CPU.
PS: Why i'm spending 750 euro on two highend motherboards I don't wanna discuss 🤫
