So I wanna build an extreme Asus ROG gaming PC and for a while I was interested in the ROG CROSSHAIR X870E EXTREME board for the fact that well it has extreme in the title and it's the most expensive board but going deep into my research I don't need 10Gig lan port 5 is fine and wifi 7 what's also pushing me away is the lane sharing effect on this board
My ideal setup is utilizing the top pciex x16 slot for my 5090 and 2 Gen 5 Ssd's i read that only way to prevent lane sharing effect on the pciex x16 slot is to put one SSD in the Q-DIMM.... I don't like this
So now my research has pushed me into looking at the ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI from what I've read my 5090 would go in the top pciex x16 slot and one Gen 5 SSD in M.2 1 socket and second Gen 5 SSD in the Μ.2_2 socket this setup will have no lane sharing effect...
But you guys tell me is this ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI motherboard the best at having no lane sharing effect without having to use a Q-DIMM? If there's another better Asus ROG AMD motherboard that has the best lane sharing within the x870 line up let me know please don't mention any older boards....
