Hi team,
I ordered pieces from left and right on a new build.
Ryzen 7 5800X on Asus ROG Strix X570-E is the main course.
I know I have to patch bios for series 5000 support.I did multiples times from usb stick, no screen - board supports it.
Then when booting, I get no post, no fan - always the 00 code on board - unused code as per the book.
I removed everything -= ram , m.2, gpu, reset cmos, ... I removed cpu and looked cpu and socket looks clean, nothing broken or bent.I changed psu, changed board (same model) = got same result.I dont have access to another board or cpu to test.
Setup is now naked at bare minimum- naked cpu stays cold- power 28 pins + 3x4 pins for cpu- power button to case.
Yes i tried with heatsink and paste on cpu and gpu. Always same results.
I'm wondering what is more to test or any recommendation to see something else than 00.

thanks,

Hey guys, i've put together a few builds but this one is giving me a bitch of a time, I've got lights up all over with all fans spinning, but no display at all and the DRAM LED on, with a Q code 0d. The only things I've replaced are my CPU, Mobo, and RAM. I know my PSU and GPU are in working condition. I've tried every RAM config I can think of, including trying to boot it up without ANY ram installed. Still nothing, no beeps, no display, nothin but that constant LED.
Here's my specs:
Mobo: Asus Rog Strix x570-e gaming CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900x RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32gb (2x16) GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 1060 6gb PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 G2
Any help appreciated!
Few suggestions in this thread.

Could be a memory compatibility issue. Update the BIOS using the USB BIOS Flashback feature (you'll need a separate computer to put the BIOS file onto a USB stick).
I feel like I just stepped off an 8 hour emotional rollercoaster.
Short story:
If your motherboard for no reason at all returns error code 02 (“AP initialization before microcode loading”) instead of booting, or throws other random VGA connected POST errors, CHECK THE DP/HDMI VERSION OF YOUR MONITOR.
Slightly longer story:
I’ve literally spent 8 hours debugging the ROG Strix X570-E Gaming motherboard, trying every single thing I could think of, including but not limited to changing the BIOS battery, flashing 5 different BIOS versions from 2 different USB flash drives, swapping PCIe slots several times, and checking the PSU cables with a flashlight. I thought I was either getting crazy or there is an actual hardware defect, because I’ve only swapped the motherboard, RAM and CPU. PSU, GPU and everything else remained the same, just lifted from and old i5 and Socket 1150 Asrock motherboard.
I was just about to give up and put my GPU into the old system, just so I could check if the GPU is dead (maybe I damaged it during the move) or the Asus motherboard is faulty, when something magical happens - I was doing something with my monitor while trying once again to boot the system, and finally! “The VGA card is not supported by UEFI driver” displayed with some other messages… I immediately though “It couldn’t be! I’m throwing myself through the window if…”. Yes… The monitor had DisplayPort Version 1.4 selected in settings; the motherboard apparently supports only 1.2. After I’ve changed the monitor setting to version 1.2, it works. I have no words.
I just booted up my PC for the first time and it has an Q-Code 02 on boot. It won’t even let me into the bios to do anything right now. I’m not to sure how to even go about figuring out what is wrong. I’ve tried running different video cables like display port and hdmi, my ram is secure, all cables are secure and in place. Everything turns on within the PC and the only indicators lit up by the mobo is green and yellow. Tried swapping ram in bwtween 3600 MHz t-force xtreem ram and 3200 MHz G.Skill trident z. Any suggestions?

Solved: I just had to have a bios update on a usb drive so I could update my bios and so it could access my cpu. Out of box the motherboard was not updated enough to have compatibility with the new chips. If you are having trouble with getting into the bios what I did was: plugged the hdmi into the motherboard rather than the gpu and waited for the green light to shut off, and continued tinkering with the placement of the hdmi until it booted into the bios menu.
