They hold up well but high sit 19-20", you may prefer this however, very firm did not soften up over time but my friend was able to replace the foam in the cushions add some batting to soften the sit made a huge difference. Still not that comfortable since the back is stiff and pushes out slightly. If you prefer firm then go for it. This Rooms to go sofa may be different I would suggest look for a store to test, for sure, see if fabric and sit is right for you. It also comes in a reversible chaise version for slightly more which to me is the better deal, this may help for lounging if you or others find the sit a bit stiff. Hope this helps some. good luck. October 29, 2019Mid century modern living room - advice needed
It's ok to not have everything from the same era. You can bring cohesion through a consistent color palette which you have already done. All the warm colors look good together and the room still reads as MCM. I think an Eames chair would not work space-wise, what you have now fits nicely. I think the rug works too but if you wanted to bring in an accent color an olive green would contrast nicely with all the browns/rust. And then some art and throw pillows will pull it all together.
