Low key tip, check out the havertys outlet on east colonial. We were in the "where the fuck do we buy furniture" camp ourselves not to long ago, and decided to stop in, right after very nearly witnessing a fistfight between two associates at American freight. Shopping experience was excellent . We went in with a tape measure, they sort of explained how they work (it's all old floor models, you take what they got, some of it can be marked or dirty, some discontinued styles or colors, as is type shit) and promptly left us alone. I sat on probably half the couches in the place. Measured most of them with a tape measure to check em out, didn't get bothered once. When it came time to buy they had us grab the tags of what we wanted (this ridiculously huge leather recliner and a gorgeous microsuede sofa) and said "let me go talk to my manager and see if we can work a deal for you" keep in mind, I had not mentioned a word about trying to bargain here. Saleslady (Melinda, I think was her name, she was fantastic) comes back and says "I can't really do much on the chair because it's already very heavily discounted (this was true, the chair was originally $3800 and I was getting it for....$800) but I was able to work a deal on the couch" I don't remember exactly what the deal on the couch was, but the couch was originally nearly $4000 and we paid including tax, delivery and a random $400 coffee table that we got for $50.....$1800. the coffee table needed some screws tightened. Convenient I own a screwdriver. We even went back there a couple months later and bought a dining table (admitted the top is beat and needs a full re finish) that was some indeterminate kind of expensive, with two leaves on it(that you can see holding my entire Funko collection in my post history) for a whopping $60. I'm not sure if they do credit, so if you're looking to do a couch note, they may not be for you. But why get the best shit out there bar none, and are easily the cheapest in the game.
