I'm looking for a round table to seat at least 6.
When a round table gets too big I think it looses a lot if it's advantages plus "space is a premium" in our house so the small size is attractive.
All the pictures on Ikea's web site and most I can find show it with 4 chairs. I've found pictures with 6 chairs none with 6 people sitting at the table.
Also I think it's the same model used in the restuarant in ikea? Or are those bigger?
Does anyone seat 6 at the big Billsta (mix of kids and adults) and how does it work out?
Also if anyone actually has the table how well does it stand up to rough usage over time (kids).

Thanks for the replies! We are thinking of going with a non-ikea Eames DSW knock off: https://eames.com/en/dsw for a "the big bang theory" look. So that would fit the definition of not protruding beyond the seats perimeter. And thanks I had not thought of the intertwining/hitting issue. ref. big bang theory eams dsw chairs with a tulip style table. https://i.imgur.com/fKNj6XJ.jpg I would love that table with a bigger top but I can't figure out where they got it from and probably could not afford it if I did figure it out.

I've done some venue/seating planning before and the standard size for a 6 person round table is 46" - 64" in diameter. So while your table is at the low end of that range it is possible.
