Hello! I have a question about table sizes. My venue comes with x25 round tables that are 5 feet/60 inches in diameter. The internet says that a 60" table can seat 8-10 people, which is exactly what we need for good family/friend groupings during the meal. But when my fiance and I were at the venue in person, we could only fit 8 chairs, as seen in the photo, and some of the seats butt up against the legs of the table. So, what size table should we rent to seat 10 people for a buffet meal? Thanks in advance!

How many people can sit around a 60-inch (5ft) round table?
8-10 people can fit at a 60 inch round table. If you seat 10, everyone will not be able to slide their chairs under the table. If you have formal place settings, you cannot fit more than 8.
How many people can sit at a 72-inch (6ft) round table?
10-12 people can fit at a 72 inch round table. If you seat 12, everyone will not be able to slide their chairs under the table. If you have formal place settings, you definitely can’t fit more than 10.
How many people can sit at a 72-inch (6ft) banquet (rectangle) table?
6-8 people can fit at a 6′ table. If you seat 8, the people on the end will not be able to slide their chairs under the table. If you have formal place settings, you definitely can’t fit more than 6.
Trying to determine if a 54 inch or60 inch would give enough room around the table?
