can i have runway add ai to a video without transforming the entire video?
It is technically possible but practically very hard to achieve. You will have to cut out the section from your video you want to alter, upload it to Runway, and use Gen-3 Alpha video-to-video with your specific prompt to achieve the desired results. It does work but will require multiple attempts and a lot of luck. Here's few examples how it works, expand example sections to see original videos and final results. I'd suggest taking a key frame from your video and using it as an image prompt with text prompt to animate your image. That will most likely yield much better results, and you will have a lot more control too. More on reddit.com

The edit feels a little like that video where the box truck is driving towards a barrier, and the moment before impact it cuts to another clip of it approaching the barrier, over and over again… i think it would help to remove a few of the ‘car revealing itself from the sand’ shots to speed things up. im sorry if this is a noob question, but i don't have a whole lot of experience with this use case. i would like to upload a video to runway and then have it AI animate a certain section of the video.
for example, i have a scene of stationary objects, and it would be great if it subtly animated one of the humaniod toys to move a bit.
i do not want it to retexture / reimagine the entire scene (what it's doing when i try), and i want it to work on a specific area of the video.
is this possible? if not is there a better tool to accomplish this?

Hi All,
I am blown away by the capabilities however I wanted to check if there are other similar platforms which can generate good image to video (5 to 10 seconds) ?
I tried leonardo ai but it messes the human features completely.
