Ryzen 7000 requires the AM5 platform. RYZEN 5000 and Ryzen 5000 3D are the last cpus that are able to use AM4. More on reddit.com

Not bad, not good, just aggressively "fine." Shame not to see a 96-core non-Pro at launch, but they did suspiciously leave that SKU open, so I'm willing to be patient. 7990X for $7,500 in 2024?
