I’m getting a combo that has a 7800x3d, asus rog strix b650-i motherboard, and team group 2x8 gb ddr5 6000hz. I’ve seen a lot of people recommend 32gb of ram. Should I try and sell the team group and spend the extra on 32gb or should I use the 16gb and see how it performs and wait for prices to come back down if they do?
I built my current PC about 1yr ago. I got a Intel i9 13900k + a MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk MOBO
As many of you guys know by now, this Combo is currently cursed because of the Intel 13th/14th Gen CPU power distribution issues. I currently can't overclock my PC and I've just been riding it out ever since. Been downloading the latest microcode updates as soon as they come out and I dont think a permanent fix will ever be implemented at this point.
So I am switching to AMD. Done messing with it and waiting for Intel to fix this.
So basically, I am just going to swap out my MOBO and CPU to AMD. Also will need a new a cooler but I can figure that out. I hear X3D CPUs are really good so will likely get one of that variety.
Fill in the blank with what you guys would recommend !
