Ryzen master gave you -30 all core settings, which is an undervolt. There is no chance that undervolt anyhow hurt your cpu, as you give it LESS power than it wants, meaning at worst it can be unable to run as fast as you want it. The microstutters however might occur from unstable undervolt, which is why id recommend to look up how to clear cmos on your motherboard. This will get rid of anything you might have messed up with curve optimizer, permanently. Your motherboard is Aorus x570 elite, which looks to have CMOS reset right above front panel connectors. Bottom right of the board, there will be two pins above it. Check if they are marked as CMOS CLEAR or sth similar. If they do, connect them with something conductive (my fav is screwdriver, but DONT TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE WITH IT) and hold it until it reboots. You will get a message of BIOS reset. Good luck. I have a Ryzen 7 5800x and a Aorus Gigabyte B450m pro wifi motherboard, Windows 11. I recently upgraded to the new CPU and have been using it for a couple weeks. I decided to use Ryzen Master to use to auto optimize for the CPU. It took about an hour and I think it blue screened at one point. But when it was complete I hit apply and it went to rest the PC. When it did, the Aorus screen comes up like it it's booting and the blue screens and says it has to restart. When it restarts, it says its going to repair but then crashes again. It just starts doing this over and over. I tried putting the bios into safe mode but that didn't do anything. Please someone help. I'm fairly new to this stuff.

Try taking the cmos battery out of ur motherboard to reset ur bios, if ur cmos battery is in a super inconvenient place some motherboards have pins u can place something metallic on to jump the bios reset, read ur motherboard manual and it should tell you about both options

In my experience with the 5800x, the results of Ryzen Masters auto per core and all core optimizations were pretty unstable. I’d back everything off 5-10 and use a program like OCCT. The core cycler was pretty good at helping me find a few cores in particular that were way off and then I had to tweak the offsets down even further to prevent the occasional random crashing.

Title basically describes most of my problem.

System:

Ryzen 9 5900X
RTX 2070 Super (oc'd)
x570 elite
G.skill Trident Z RGB 4x8GB, DDR4, 3200Mhz, 14CL
Seasonic Focus PX-750
Kraken x62

I ran the Curve Optimizer tool in Ryzen Master per core. It took ~17hours aproximately and the following results came out:

After I did this, I started having microstutter issues in various games (CS2, Aimlabs) and I haven't been able to get rid of this issue ever since.

Naturally reverted the settings and didn't do anything. Tried a CMOS reset as well and also no effect.

So at this point I'm wondering if the Curve Optimizer tool in Ryzen Master can have caused permanent damage to my CPU or any of my other components that may be causing this microstutter? Last thing left to try is that I do a full clean windows install but after that I'm not sure what else I can do other than starting to replace parts.

I'm less negative than others on Ryzen Master on this thread. I think it's a decent way to quickly test things. Secondly, if you did just an undervolt, and only Ryzen Master, it's so extremely unlikely it broke anything I'm not going to consider this further. And anything Ryzen Master could have done would have been undone with a cmos reset. Secondly part 2: I add 5 to any CO recommendation from Ryzen Master. EG if it recommends -30, I try -25, then tune down from there if I'm feeling it. Thirdly, your ram, in my mind, is the most questionable part. 4x ram sticks generally suck on Ryzen with daisy chain topology. Also, I find ram generally impacts bottom 1% a bit. And you have a 3200cl14 kit, which is pretty low latency. What's your sub timings like?

Anybody else having issues with the auto curve optimizer?

I've gotten to 97% on the last core twice and then it'll BSOD and I have to start again.

Since this happened twice I've updated my bios to v18 which is stable from the MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK page.

Currently using an 5900x, x570 mag TOMAHAWK mobo, Corsair 3600 dominator platinum ram.

Had pbo and xmp enabled during the previous tests. Will try now with a fresh bios.

Anybody else having similar issues?

Auto curve optimizer is not reliable. It sets too high values and sort of guesstimates like Hydra tool. You're better off doing curve optimizer the old fashion way. It's tedious and long but it's the only way to guarantee stability. You don't want auto settings making you think it's fine and then days later you start randomly rebooting at idle or light loads.

I have completed twice with all my bios stuff left as is. It actually overides what it needs to at least on my gigabyte board, 5900x here. Running it again with defaults just to see. It is very optimistic in the CO settings. Edit Note once you use it you cannot make any changes in the bios or boot loop. (Once you activate RM CO optimizer certain further manual changes within the bios can lead to boot loops that conflict with the hidden RM bios changes) Second note if you also have RM in the Radeon software, you can not factory reset Radeon drivers without RM kept within Radeon aka Radeon slim. It did actually provide some positive results I am validating with the CPU L3 cache. It did give me easy strong MT and ST performance, but could get the same manually but not with the L3 cache performance uplift. So in short still testing, the last 3 or 5% take much longer then it shows but it is doing an all core validation at that point. I also got different results for the first 2 runs.

I have a ryzen 5600 + rx 6600 + silverstone ET750 gold PSU + ID cooling se-242-xts cooler. I turned on PBO in the BIOS and auto OC in ryzen master, everything works fine and its stable in prime95. But if i set curve optimizer mode to "all cores", the system becomes unstable, fails prime95 tests and randomly restarts by itself.

This happens even if i spend 32 minutes letting the utility test the settings (which it then claims is fine, but results in an unstable system).

Does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it? Not sure what this curve optimizer mode is exactly. I assume it means how the CPU speed ramps up in relation to voltage?

Theres no overheating, even during prime95 stress tests the highest temp i saw so far was 67 degrees celsius, voltage with curve optimizer mode averaged 1.065v, without curve optimizer, it averages higher, about 1.085v.

As with all "auto" OC stuff you have to take their given settings with a large grain of salt. (Most of the time they give way too much voltage etc.) In this case way too optimistic settings, which cause the system to crash. Some cores won't do any offset, so you'll have to use per core settings and trial and error your way to stable settings. I recommend using Corecycler or OCCT and use settings that cycle the load through all cores one at a time to test the offsets stability. Best cores will likely do lower offset (they are using more aggressive voltage curve out of the box).

You will have to manually find the sweet spot for each individual core. Some can take more, some can't. It can take a very long time to dial in the right CO for your chip. Most people can't just set it to -30 and call it a day. All the automatic ones will do is give you a starting point. Ryzen Master will give you a good ballpark number if you set the test time optimizatiom to the maximum time limit instead of the default but those numbers will still probably be optimistic in use cases.

Take out the ram sticks as this will reset the settings in your bios. If that doesn't work, turn off computer and remove the tiny battery on the motherboard. Wait 30seconds then slip it back in. All settings are reset after doing this.

Ryzen master probably used max or close to max -30 value for undervolting, you can find PBO in bios and set curve optimizer to lower value like -15, once you boot just disable it in ryzen master and delete that crappy program lol. Most cpus can get -20, you can try -15 first, use program like cinebench or prime95, for 15-20 minutes to make sure it doesnt crash

I think his claim about Zen2/3 overclocking results is more right than not (maybe not 99% but certainly more than 50%). I tested the "AutoOC +200" CO offsets (-20, -29, -30, -29, -10, -18) with CoreCycler default settings for 4 hours then returned to my "AutoOC +100" offsets (-30, -25, -30, -30, -20, -20). Core 6 is "fastest" and 5 "second fastest" per Ryzen Master, and Core 2 seems to be happy at -30 in both scenarios.

Try using vcore offset with co together i had same cpu and msi mobo as well, i was somehow crashing on -30 but applying a -0.07v offset allowed -50 all core not crashing, maybe its a bug idk

Hello everyone,

first of all: I haven't find any similar topics about my issues so I'm just posting them here, cause I'm unsure if I might have faulty hardware.

My Issue:
I'm having weird issues with my rig which I just built. Everything seems to work so far. I made some stresstests and benchmarks (Cinebench R23 & 3DMark Speed Way & Port Royal) which were fine. No system crashes or anything.
When I open AMD Ryzen Master to check if the cores are parking correctly and all that stuff, after some time (no matter if it's on idle or in game or in benchmarks) the AMD Ryzen Master Software freezes and then works again for some seconds just to show me that all metrics are now at -1 like it can't read anything from the hardware anymore.
It has nothing to do with the CPU but I also sometimes have issues when I start the PC that my screen is not getting detected. It only works as soon as I'm in the Windows Login screen. But if I restart the PC then, it also works in the post screen and I can go into the BIOS. But here I will just try another DisplayPort cable first to check if that might be an issue.

The Situation:
Since I have just built that rig, it's a fresh installed Windows 11 Pro. I've installed all chipset drivers etc. from the MSI page and also the graphics drivers for AMD and NVIDIA. I also have iCUE for my AiO and System FANs. You can find the software list and hardware below. Afterwards I made Windows updates and I'm on the latest state.
I've seen youtube videos to undervolt and optimize the CPU for gaming. The reason I started using AMD Ryzen Master was JayzTwoCents video about Core-Parking.

What I tried:
I uninstalled all Display Drivers with DDU. I uninstalled all utilities and used the AMD Cleanup Utility. Then only installed AMD Ryzen Master but the same issue happened again.
Since I'm using a Thermal Grizzly AM5 Contact Sealing Frame I have remounted it together with my AiO and have loosen the screws a little.
I haven't reinstalled Windows yet because I want to wait with that and maybe someone else also had these issues and knows how to fix it.
I also have put back all BIOS settings to default and also tried a CMOS reset. the issue persists.

Core parking: as far as a game is in full Window mode should work fine. Forget Ryzen Master... may be buggy. Is your 9950x3d running at full speed with Cinebench both in single cord and multi core? If not set PBO > Curve Optimizer to -10/-15 for cores 0-7 (x3d) and -20/-25 for cores 8-15 (standard cores). You csn use HWInfo64 for cpu speed monitor while Cinebench is testing.
