ryzen master curve optimizer stuck at 99

Auto curve optimizer is not reliable. It sets too high values and sort of guesstimates like Hydra tool. You're better off doing curve optimizer the old fashion way. It's tedious and long but it's the only way to guarantee stability. You don't want auto settings making you think it's fine and then days later you start randomly rebooting at idle or light loads.

I have completed twice with all my bios stuff left as is. It actually overides what it needs to at least on my gigabyte board, 5900x here. Running it again with defaults just to see. It is very optimistic in the CO settings. Edit Note once you use it you cannot make any changes in the bios or boot loop. (Once you activate RM CO optimizer certain further manual changes within the bios can lead to boot loops that conflict with the hidden RM bios changes) Second note if you also have RM in the Radeon software, you can not factory reset Radeon drivers without RM kept within Radeon aka Radeon slim. It did actually provide some positive results I am validating with the CPU L3 cache. It did give me easy strong MT and ST performance, but could get the same manually but not with the L3 cache performance uplift. So in short still testing, the last 3 or 5% take much longer then it shows but it is doing an all core validation at that point. I also got different results for the first 2 runs.

I have a Ryzen 7 5800x and a Aorus Gigabyte B450m pro wifi motherboard, Windows 11. I recently upgraded to the new CPU and have been using it for a couple weeks. I decided to use Ryzen Master to use to auto optimize for the CPU. It took about an hour and I think it blue screened at one point. But when it was complete I hit apply and it went to rest the PC. When it did, the Aorus screen comes up like it it's booting and the blue screens and says it has to restart. When it restarts, it says its going to repair but then crashes again. It just starts doing this over and over. I tried putting the bios into safe mode but that didn't do anything. Please someone help. I'm fairly new to this stuff.

Try taking the cmos battery out of ur motherboard to reset ur bios, if ur cmos battery is in a super inconvenient place some motherboards have pins u can place something metallic on to jump the bios reset, read ur motherboard manual and it should tell you about both options

In my experience with the 5800x, the results of Ryzen Masters auto per core and all core optimizations were pretty unstable. I’d back everything off 5-10 and use a program like OCCT. The core cycler was pretty good at helping me find a few cores in particular that were way off and then I had to tweak the offsets down even further to prevent the occasional random crashing.

I think his claim about Zen2/3 overclocking results is more right than not (maybe not 99% but certainly more than 50%). I tested the "AutoOC +200" CO offsets (-20, -29, -30, -29, -10, -18) with CoreCycler default settings for 4 hours then returned to my "AutoOC +100" offsets (-30, -25, -30, -30, -20, -20). Core 6 is "fastest" and 5 "second fastest" per Ryzen Master, and Core 2 seems to be happy at -30 in both scenarios.

So in the amd ryzen master app, i tried the optimization curve on all cores. After waitingnfor an hour for it to be fully optimized, i applied it. My pc restarted and then everytime i got into my home windows screen it will just restart again and then the blue screen came out in which to choose F1, F8 or Esc. Tried everything on that blue screen but nothing works. What should i do now? I cant even open up ryzen master to disable the optimization curve. Take out the ram sticks as this will reset the settings in your bios. If that doesn't work, turn off computer and remove the tiny battery on the motherboard. Wait 30seconds then slip it back in. All settings are reset after doing this.

Ryzen master probably used max or close to max -30 value for undervolting, you can find PBO in bios and set curve optimizer to lower value like -15, once you boot just disable it in ryzen master and delete that crappy program lol. Most cpus can get -20, you can try -15 first, use program like cinebench or prime95, for 15-20 minutes to make sure it doesnt crash

To summarize, I downsized from a Lian Li O11 Dynamic to a Lian Li A3.

All same components, only motherboard change:

Motherboard - (was) AsRock X570 Steel Legend -> to -> (currently installed) MSI B550m MAG Mortar Wifi

CPU - Ryzen 5800X3D

Cooler - Corsair H150i AIO (360mm)

Memory - 4x8gb Acer Apollo DDR4 4000mhz CL17

GPU - RTX 4080 FE

PSU - EVGA Supernova 1000

etc.

I downsized my PC and went from an AsRock X570 Steel Legend to a MSI B550m MAG Mortar Wifi.

Before I could apply Curve Optimizer settings either through the bios or Ryzen Master in the Curve Optimizer tab on the AsRock X570 mobo. Results were great with all core boost stable at 4.425ghz at 72C, and CPU scores of ~5500 with 3DMark 4K TimeSpy.

The MSI B550m mobo has Curve Optimizer settings in the bios but I believe it isn't applying. Reasons being Ryzen Master no longer shows the Curve Optimizer settings tab, as well it states that Curve Optimizer is "Off". And now I can't get a 3DMark 4K TimeSpy CPU score above 5100. As well my temps are higher nearing 80C. Curve Optimizer in the bios set to "Auto" (there is no off option) and the scores are the same.

I am at work so I can't grab a screenshot of the ryzen master screen but I will when I get home.

I Submitted a ticket with MSI, hoping to get an answer, but if anyone has any insight I'd love to hear it.

Did you update the BIOS? Originally there was no Curve Optimizer for X3D chips, and it was later added back in, at least for some motherboards. If your motherboard doesn't show it / you think it doesn't apply it even with the latest BIOS, using PBO2 Tuner (or ROPBench, but haven't tried that personally) is a way to set the CO values from within Windows.

Same thing on my 7800x3d/strix x670 combo yet somehow they still conflict each other, if i set it in bios and restart then it holds but doesnt show on ryzen master. What i had to do was turn off CO in bios and use ryzen master purly for testing CO, once I'm done ill uninstall ryzen master and punch in the values in bios.

Ryzen 5 5500 on a ASROCK B550. Im just trying to use Ryzen Master to find some good values per core for me to plug into my bios. I was going to do that and enable pbo. However, Ryzen Master keeps showing up as "All Cores" @ -30.

The way the results are displayed looks as if I chose "All Cores" rather than "Per Core". Idk if it just *looks* that way when all values were equal, or if it is that way because it did all cores rather than per core. It doesn't say "Per Core" and shows them all at -30 like one would expect; it shows "All Core" at -30. Thus, making me not trust the test.

Also, I do not have the greatest cooling. Stock wraith cooler and 1 exhaust and 1 intake chassis fans. So should I completely skip on enabling pbo for now?

Any helpers do you keep the adjusted ccd core 0 / 1 from-2 a time for best results if it’s pulling the window 11 event viewer error post (a pic id whea logger)? Bring the different change how is it best to confirm in software that curve optimizer single core set to one lower level if it has been tested and set to -4 less than the rest. IE four from -15 would it hurt to drop it lower than -11? Would one ccd core lower test drop at a time be better than two ccd drops ? All good with that tho for a couple weeks.

First step - dont use ryzen master. Enter pbo settings in bios, pbo curve optimizer, and set standard value of -15 for all cores. Use program like aida64 to stress test your cpu, if the temps are high because of your stock cooler you can disable pbo completely. From my experience these benchmark programs fooled me alot of times, a long hours gaming session is the best benchmark to see if your cpu/gpu is stable. Also automatic curve optimizer in ryzen master does not work properly and overall this program is classic bloatware for the system, even after deleting it i was getting random system crashes because of some leftover file called Amdryzenmasterdriverv30 failed to start or whatever.
