Motherboard: Asus Strix x570-E
CPU: Ryzen 9 3900x
BIOS: 0804 - AMD AGESA Conbo-AM4 1.0.0.3
GPU: GTX 970 Driver: 431.60
Ryzen Master version: 2.0.1.1233
Dual Monitor set: Main monitor on Display Port, Second Monitor on HDMI
Steps to reproduce:
-
Open up Ryzen Master
-
It opens on the Main Monitor
-
Move it to the second Monitor
-
Close Ryzen Master
-
Launch Ryzen Master
-
It come up on the second monitor (It remembers where it was last located)
-
Scroll the main window up and down a few times like 3
-
Hover over the Yellow Star to get the tool tip.
-
**** It hangs and won't respond ***
You can repeat steps 5 - 9 as often as you like and it will happen every time as long as it start on the second Monitor.
I confirm same issue , i think its related to using dual screens . If you run it on the starting screen it doesnt crash, but if i move it to side screen it stops responding and freezes .
I have same problem, with latest version and the previous one too (didn't try older versions after that)
Basically for me, it will crash whenever I trigger a tooltip for any UI element, not just the star...
I have a Ryzen 7700x on an Asus strix x670e-a, 32gb ddr5 6000, radeon 7900xtx. In bios I enabled expo 1.
If I start ryzen master tool, expo 1 was not selected, if I select it and apply, it asks for a restart. After a restart PC freezes shortly after I get image, at any time, even if I open Bios, it freezes in bios…
Also, any attempt I had at trying to oc the CPU and pc doesn’t boot anymore. Tried the asus AI tweaker thingy and manual per-core recommendations from YT vids. None worked. With manual I get a boot-up but bsod.
Anyone had these issues? Any advice?
I haven’t found Ryzen master particularly useful this gen nor particularly stable. I’ve had far better luck with curve optimisation and offsets.
Does your RAM support expo? If so have you tried expoII instead? If not, DOCP? Alternatively trying the profiles at the top of the DDR timings screen might work.
First thing though, clear CMOS and start fresh.
Wait for new bios.
Is the Ryzen Master app suitable for gaming?
AMD Ryzen Master capable of monitoring systems?

Description of Original Problem: Ryzen Master instantly freezes after clicking OK on the warning screen, 2nd screen pops up but nothing is displayed and both windows are frozen and have to be Alt+Del to remove. Only have updating BIOS/installing my 5800X from a 3700X
Troubleshooting: Completely uninstalled Ryzen Master + Chipset Drivers and reinstalled newest Chipset drivers and ryzen master (4 times now) immediately after installing it'll run for about 5 seconds then freeze, then after that it will instantly freeze and not respond. I've verified I have the current version, most current BIOS. All BIOS settings are set to auto other than XMP and fan curves. Tried running as administrator as well with no help.
Any help would be great, been having to use HWinfo to track temps (which are horrible btw) and would like to test out some features of Ryzen Master but can't do so.
UPDATE: The issue is anytime it tries to open on a monitor other than my main monitor (middle one) as I'm running 2 others. If I click yes to the warning and it attempts to open on another monitor it straight up freezes. If I drag the warnimg window to the top left of my main screen it will allow it to open on my main monitor and it'll run fine... until I try and drag it to another monitor then it'll instantly freeze again. Such a weird bug..
Hi, i got the ryzen 7 9700x recently and I am using ryzen master to optimize curve control but i noticed it is freezing during optimizing. In bios i left oc settings to auto. Could there be some settings which are conflicting or something im doing wrong? Or shoud i not use ryzen master entirely and leave oc settings in bios to auto?
Ryzen 5 2600 CPU
I just downloaded Ryzen Master after watching a video about overclocking.
so when I tried to apply and test, it just froze my pc and didn't let me do anything.
is there any solution to this?
My Ryzen master keeps crashing when I start it, I have downloaded the drivers, and rebooted my pc. I also turned of my Windows antivirus as per some guys instructions. I have reinstalled it a couple of times, but the problem remains, it usually crashes right as I click advanced view.
Using the program to try and overclock, i went too far with the numbers and it just froze. When I restarted my pc, the ryzen master program opens up automatically and overclocks my cpu right after I login, freezing my system once again. In the bios, I tried to reset everything to default, but once I login back to windows, I am usually able to open task manager and see the the amd application is using a lot of resources. Then it just freezes, every time without fail :( please help, thank you
I was messing around with my AMD ryzen master profiles and overclocking my cpu and ram and I restarted my computer to apply and test, now whenever I click “ok” to open ryzen master it freezes my whole computer, any help?
