S22 vs S21 FE
Galaxy S21 FE vs Galaxy S22
Battery life on the s22 base is pretty crappy, if you can, go for the s22+ instead.

Honestly, both phones have heating issues. Even the Snapdragon chipset in the s22 actually led to a major throttling scandal and a class action lawsuit in South Korea over the lack of a proper cooling chamber.
It's not a bad phone, but it's just a very hot chip and a pretty small battery of 3700 MHz. Without a lot of options for thermal management.
If I had to choose one, I would probably go with the s22 and just because it's newer, we'll get longer updates, and even the hot version of the Qualcomm chipset is probably more reliable than exynos. I also like the size, although that is a double edged sword because of the small battery.
If I were you I would search " s22, throttling" as there was a big scandal with 5 years of a series phones being delisted from Geekbench and it all stemmed from the benchmark performances of the s22.
But if you want a phone that has a long battery life and thermal efficiency, neither of these are great options.
If you're not as picky about OS updates, something like the Note 20 ultra or s20 FE with the 865 plus chipset had much better thermal performance.
I'm just not a huge fan of the phones with the Snapdragon 888 or 8g1. They just run hot and had worse battery life than the 865 chips in the s20 lineup and the Note 20 lineup.
But the drawback of using those phones with the 865 chipset is they all were released in 2020 . So the last update is Android 13. You will still get security patches after that for a couple years.
whereas with the s22 it'll be updated for freaking ever. Technically should get Android 15 or 16 in a few years.
I think the bigger issue with the s22 long-term is you'll probably need to replace the battery just because it's not very big to begin with.

Needed some help deciding between the two phones. Which one would you recommend? The price difference is $170 and the things I value most are a good display and camera. I've felt both and think the S21FE feels better in hand and have heard the battery life is also better. Would love to hear what owners of the phone have to say.
