My long-term review of Samsung S21 Ultra. Which new phone would be better for my usage?
S21 5g... Are you truly happy? Or S21 Ultra? Thoughts? | Android Central Forum
Why the S21 Ultra is one of the greatest smart phones ever made
Those who chose S21+ over Ultra, how do you like it so far? Any regret?
Videos
I got my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 512 GB with 16 GB RAM back in October 2021, and since then, I’ve truly made the most of it! 📱
Photo/Video Backup
With 76,000 - 76,500 photos and videos (excluding screenshots and WhatsApp images), it’s time for another backup on my HDD, as my Google Photos storage is maxed out. 😅 I back up twice a year, and considering an average of 70k photos per backup, that’s around 140k photos per year. Over the past 3 years, I’ve easily accumulated around 420k photos/videos. Capturing memories is definitely my forte! 📸✨
Battery Life 🔋
Flagship phones come with bigger batteries, and mine’s no exception! I charge it to 100% in the morning, and even with heavy usage, it lasts until evening. With moderate use, it powers through till night. It’s like having a mini power station in my pocket! 💪
Multi-Window Apps 💻📲
I’m a multitasking pro—I use two apps almost every day, like Mail and WhatsApp simultaneously. The split-screen feature has become a daily companion!
Image/Text Conversion
From day one, I’ve used the feature to capture and convert images or screenshots into text. This has made note-taking and information extraction a breeze! 📝🔍
Reverse Wireless Charging
This is where my phone truly stands out! 🔄 People are always amazed when I let them place their iPhones on my phone’s back to give them that much-needed 10% charge boost. 😅 I’ve saved the day for countless friends and strangers with this nifty feature!
Telephoto Lens
I’ve captured thousands of photos of the Moon, and I’m still not done. That 100x zoom lens is simply phenomenal! 🌕📷
8K/4K Video Recording 🎥
Whether it’s 8K or 4K, I’ve pushed the limits with the video capabilities. The quality is insane, and I’ve loved every moment spent shooting high-definition videos.
Professional Photography
I’ve even used the 108MP main camera for professional car photography and pre-wedding photoshoots. The results? Stunning! 🚗💍📸
Durability
Despite being dropped countless times (I’ve lost count!), it only has a few minor scratches. Talk about resilience! 🔧💥
Bixby & Desktop Mode
With Bixby, my phone transforms into a desktop. I can access all my phone apps on my laptop seamlessly. It’s been a game-changer since day one! 💻🤖
Unique Features
Edge Panel, Good Lock, One-Hand Operation, S Pen support—I've explored A-Z of this device’s capabilities.
I’ve truly pushed this phone to its limits over the past 4 years. Whether it’s photography, multitasking, or unique features, I’ve used it all.
I guess that makes me the perfect flagship phone user 😅🫠 This phone was worth every penny! 💯
I am thinking about getting a new phone. Which phone would be best suitable for my usage? Thank you.
We can all say that there are loads of amazing android smartphones out there but Samsung has always standed out sure the old Samsung phones were not great but in 2016 Samsung began playing catch up with the dominant IPhone and by the time the S10 Came out Samsung began its attempts at dethroning the smartphone god. When the S21 models came out Samsung dethroned the iPhone for good and Samsung became the new smartphone gods. The reason I'm saying the S21 Ultra is one of the greatest smartphones ever made is because it has a beautiful design its very durable but would still recommend a strong case and screen protector its OS Is amazing the 2 exynos and snapdragon chips are amazing the features are amazing its fast aswell and has An amazing battery and display and the camera is just pure perfection and it has super fast charging.
I’m on a crossroad between the two models. Moving from S8+ for almost 5 yrs and been using iPhone12 Pro Max for few months, I had enough with curved screen and multiple series of the cracked tempered glass. That’s the only thing holding me back from Ultra, and frankly I like how S21+ feels on the hand.
However I worry of buyer remorse on the extra RAM. I’m planning to use the phone for 4 yrs. I took photos and want to do some editing e.g. with Lightroom mobile. Will the 4GB RAM and extra 200mAh makes a lot more difference?
How is your experience so far?
PS: I’m not considering S22.
