Saatva Mattress Review 2026 | Expert Tested
Your firmness needs can change with recurring joint inflammation or injuries like muscle strains, and the Solaire allows you to adjust based on how you feel that night. It’s also great for couples who like different firmness options. Those who sleep hot may not find this mattress cool enough. We gave the cooling features an average score of 3/5. Shoppers on a budget might want to look for less expensive options. Saatva offers high-quality mattresses that often come with a higher price tag.

Do you need a box spring with a Saatva mattress?
Yes. For the best support and comfort, Saatva recommends customers place their mattress on a box spring or foundation. It's important to note: Saatva will void your warranty if you don't place your King or Queen sized bed on a box spring that has proper center support.

Saatva Solaire Mattress Review: Results From Our Test Lab
Our testing found minimal pressure buildup around the joints and lower back while lying on the Saatva Solaire. The memory foam comfort layer has enough contouring to cushion heavier areas, but the latex hedges against any sinking sensation. Adjusting the firmness also lets you adapt the mattress to suit your body and find a pressure-free spinal alignment.

r/Mattress on Reddit: Best Adjustable Bed - Saatva or Lucid?
September 3, 2024 -

What is the Best Adjustable Bed - Saatva or Lucid?

Hey everyone,

I'm a 45-year-old guy, 6'0" with chronic back pain, and I'm in the market for an adjustable bed. I’ve narrowed it down to the Saatva Adjustable Base Plus and the Lucid L300. My criteria were:

  • Health benefits (especially for back pain)

  • Comfort features

  • Price and value

  • Ease of use and adjustability

After doing some research, here's what I found:

  • Health Benefits: Saatva seems better for back pain with features like zero-gravity and anti-snore presets.

  • Comfort: Saatva offers full-body massage and under-bed lighting, which is a big plus for me.

  • Price: Lucid is more affordable, but it has a lower weight capacity and fewer advanced features.

  • Adjustability: Saatva has more customizable options, making it more versatile for different sleeping positions.

Overall, I’m leaning towards the Saatva despite its higher price because it seems to address my back pain better and has more comfort features. But before I pull the trigger, I wanted to see if anyone else has experience with either bed. Do you agree with my assessment? Is the Saatva worth the extra cost, or should I reconsider the Lucid?

I just bought the Saatva Adjustable Base along with the Saatva Latex Hybrid. Also most of these reddit comments are full of mattress sales people, I am not one of those and will not be giving you a referall code so i can make commission lmao I did a ton of research on both the bed and the bases before purchasing. Depending on the size of your mattress there are more affordable bases that offer the same features (check sams club or costco. They are the only companies that will actually offer returns if that is a concern for you). I ended up going with Saatva anyway for a few reasons: White glove service when you order. They'll deliver to your house, and set it up (most adjustable bases are fairly easy to put together though, but are a bit heavy, so if you live in a apartment it could be a pain to bring to your room). Mainly I liked that they are also going to take and dispose of my current bed and frame. I got a California king, and it was a pain to find other adjustable bases with that size that also added the same features. Saatva also has great customer experience with a killer warranty, so if any parts break they'll be able to replace those. They also include an app, which is a nice feature (there are positive reviews on the app store, but i always take those with a grain of salt). This adjustable base seemed to have the best results when it came to "wall hugging" technology. I personally keep a few things that I need at hand on my night stand, so this was a plus for me. Adjustable legs go up in half-inch increments for bed height options of 12" to 17" Zero-clearance design, easy to put into different frames. Big one for me, you can reprogram the positions to your liking (so you dont have to continue adjusting the base settings if they're not to your liking), and also comes with a custom button Also try and avoid reading reviews on websites, they're all bullshit and paid for. When looking at things around mattresses, etc check out sleeplikethedead.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIM6eyPFgB0 - This is a pretty solid review on the Saatva Adjustable Base Plus. Not trying to sway you either way, but personally for the additional features, highly rated company with customer service i'd say the extra money is well worth spending on something you'll be using everyday. Hope this helps! Cheers

FWIW I bought the Lucid over labor day purely due to the price at $337. It's still in the box. I'm already salty that it's not got one of the few features I care about. Zero gravity. With advanced heart failure & PAH that position is a life saver. If I can't recreate it I'll return and actually spend some money. Sounds to me that you want the Saatva. If it's not a problem financially do it, get what you want. Your health is more important than anything else.

The Saatva Classic is one of the sturdiest mattresses around. I also like how cool the Classic sleeps. There’s hardly any heat retention from the foam layers and the cover is nice and breathable.
