Saatva Mattress Review 2026: Ratings From the Test Lab
All in all the Saatva Classic has good pressure relief, which can be attributed to its plush Euro-top and thin memory foam comfort layer. This is especially true of the Plush Soft model.

How soft is the Saatva Classic Plush Soft?
I didn’t find the plush soft to be soft at all (side sleeper). It’s subjective I guess but to me plush soft is like what you experience with a memory foam type mattress (your body sinks into it and it forms to your body). I thought it’d be a similar feel but higher quality based on how it’s described but I didn’t have the same experience with Saatva. Currently waiting on a return/pickup and a bit nervous about it given how much money it was 😅 More on reddit.com

Saatva Classic Luxury Firm vs. Plush Soft
Your lower back ache is the result of it being too soft, it's going to get worse when it really breaks in unless this is your adjustment period but regardless, I would swap if you think its too soft. With most mattresses, I have realized that if they offer 3 firmness levels, always go with the middle one first and then move up or down if that doesn't work for you unless you are petite and like 100-110lb then the soft might work for you. Winkbed softer vs Saatva Classic plush soft?
I am about to pull the trigger on a Winkbed softer. I tested it out in a Sleepare store and liked the feel. I also was really interested in a Saatva plush, but read some reviews that are similar to the video I’m linking that indicated that it doesn’t have the sink in, plush feeling. https://youtu.be/FBLPt06aBno I haven’t had the chance to try the Saatva plush so I can’t speak from firsthand experience. People also ask

Is Saatva a good mattress?
The Saatva is indeed a good mattress - it is a supportive and comfortable innerspring mattress that features some high-quality components. That being said, it is a better fit for back sleepers, stomach sleepers, and those who prefer to sleep on top of their mattress. Side sleepers and those who prefer to sink further into their mattress might want to look elsewhere.

If you’re a side sleeper who needs to feel extra cushion around your joints, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva Classic might work best for you. However, the Plush Soft model isn’t the softest mattress compared to other brands on the market. You should still feel ample support around your hips and shoulders.

The ‘Plush Soft’ model offers the closest body-conforming due to the its softer feel and use of soft polyfoam in the comfort system, while the ‘Luxury Firm’ or ‘Firm’ models conform less and provide a more even plane for sleepers.

Saatva Classic mattress review: Knock-out comfort with a luxury hotel feel
I rate the luxury firm version ... find it firmer, and heavier people might find it softer. We recommend luxury firm for most people. However, the Saatva Classic is also available in two other firmness levels: Plush Soft (3 out of 10) and Firm (8 out of 10).... Saatva’s flagship mattress is still the best option for most sleepers, but there’s one group of people who should give it a major swerve

It still retains that classic innerspring mattress feel that at times reminds me of my beloved childhood bed. Below, we also had one of our mattress testers, Kendall, try out the different models of the Saatva so you can get an idea of what the Plush Soft and Firm versions of the bed feel like. The Saatva’s coil-on-coil construction provides a classic innerspring feel. It's a good option for combo sleepers, who will want to feel free to switch positions and avoid feeling “stuck” in the mattress. It comes in three firmness levels, so you should be able to find one that suits your needs.

r/Mattress on Reddit: How soft is the Saatva Classic Plush Soft?
March 16, 2022 -

I am 5-9, 170 lb, back and side sleeper, no stomach.

I already tried the Luxury Firm, but I also wanted to test the Firm, which I am currently. The Luxury Firm was good, but I wasn't too sure. I thought I'd try the Firm and see if I could sleep only on my back, but I keep rolling to my side, plus the Firm is still too hard even if I was strictly a back sleeper.

I heard from the Youtuber RizKnows that the Plush Soft was good for combo sleepers, but others have stated that it is only good for strict side sleepers.

So if you have tried the Plush Soft, do you think that a combo back/side sleeper of my stats would do fine on it?

Saatva Mattress Review (2025) - Expert-Tested
Some lightweight sleepers may find this bed’s Luxury Firm and Firm models too firm for their needs, in which case I recommend the Plush Soft option. I also recommend that heavy sleepers specifically look at the Firm and Saatva HD versions for enhanced support. The Saatva Classic’s value, pressure relief, and support capabilities are well worth the price, making it one of my highly recommended favorites.

Saatva Classic Mattress review: A luxury experience from the free in-home setup to the premium materials
March 8, 2025 - As mentioned above, the Luxury Firm Saatva Classic will likely be too firm for most side sleepers. My hips and shoulders couldn't sink in enough for optimal spinal alignment. I'd recommend side sleepers try the Plush Soft comfort option instead. I also found the motion isolation properties average, and I don't love that there is a return fee if the mattress doesn't meet your expectations.
