Who makes the Saatva mattress?
Is Saatva a good mattress?
Where are Saatva mattresses made?
(Edit: Updated with fresh links June 2025) There's a technique to get the lowest price if you want a Saatva Split King. Order two Twin XLs in separate orders instead since two Twin XLs are the same as a Split King. This allows you to double up on the Saatva discounts and also get an extra $100 off each because you are placing two orders instead of one. This referral link is for an extra $100 off each order: https://saatva.partnerlinks.io/a227jbyvf2sc If you use other discounts below click on the above referral link last.
Navigate to the mattress you want and order one Twin XL. Open a new browser session and order a second Twin. I ordered the second one using my wife's mail address in case they don't want people ordering two mattresses with the same discount and referrals. I got the extra $200 off doing it this way.
The extra $100 will also stack with the following discounts:
15% off order over $975 (Father's Day offer): https://www.saatva.com/sale?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=19001576381&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxdXBBhDEARIsAAUkP6hV8Y6IAWLXM6GSc2o_OAzSwxxccxTYpTHPXFegvyhoZlA0aikeXbgaAlsbEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Ok so I have purchased one of the saatva mattresses because sleep foundation and other websites gave it good reviews. Consumer affairs had many decent reviews. But I am seeing a lot of people saying it breaks down fast, which, for the amount of money it costs, is concerning to me. Should I cancel that order?
I'm a little stressed about this purchase now, whereas before I was pretty excited about it. It is the first time I've bought a mattress on my own, I've been using the one my dad bought me in college for the past 9 years.
Edit: Hey I just thought I'd update this... I have had my mattress for a couple weeks now. In light of the many reviews saying they break down quickly, I also preemptively bought a mattress pad from a company called silk and snow. It is latex, and was about $200 ish when I bought it on sale. My logic was that I would help extend my mattress for longer, and it would help me feel less anxious about anything breaking down. Maybe that's silly in light of purchasing a mattress, but I don't regret it at all, because my new bed is ABSURDLY comfortable. Back pain that I had previously been in physical therapy for has improved immensely, in fact, it is nearly gone. Considering how much the physical therapy cost me over time, I am pleased with this. I would say it's firm(ish). There's still a lot of bounce. I think some of that is a function of the mattress pad. You definitely don't sink into it like you would with memory foam (I hate that sensation, also that causes me shoulder pain). It's probably also worth noting, the mattress I had previously (see above) was hardly a high quality mattress. So, really, it's not much for me to feel like things are a step up.
My biggest complaints are two fold: One was the delivery. I live alone and have weak, noodly arms so I was really banking on that delivery. Otherwise I'd be trying to haul a mattress in a box up a walkup apartment. But saatva I don't think pays too much attention to the companies they work with. I am lucky I had telework with my job, because the company ONLY delivered on weekdays! The company itself was professional, so was saatva's customer service, but working this out was a pain.
I also had issues with some of the ecofriendly ratings... I think there are maybe better companies in that department. Originally, I was considering an avocado mattress. However, everyone and their brother said that mattress was ROCK solid. And my experience with hard mattresses is pain. So I decided against it.
If I remember, I will come back to this post in like 6 months or a year or whatever and update accordingly with how it's going. Maybe that will help ease the mattress shopping concerns for others. I will let you know how it's holding up and if I had to replace it at all.
Mechanical frame works fine but we purposely bought the split so we could each have our own mattress for different preferences and back issues and they have both disappointed. We have worsening back issues. We travel frequently and each time we stay in a high end hotel our back issues go away. We wasted a lot of money on the Saatva system. the frame and mattresses are only a year old so this is not due to wear. We each weigh under 150lbs so it should have supported us as promised. Don’t waste your money. We have Amazon and Wayfair mattresses that cost less than $500 for our guest rooms that are much better.
After lurking in here for a while, online shopping for a while and making myself enter the hell of 'Texas Mattress Stores' I just bought a Saatva. Part overwhelming confusion, part exhaustion I just did it. The only thing we knew for sure was we did not want a memory foam mattress as we both sleep hot and neither of us like the sinking in feeling. I chose the Luxury Firm with the lineal adjustable base. All in with tax $4,300. If it’s too firm I’ll get them to exchange for the soft and if it’s too soft I’ll exchange for the firm.
It was very easy to purchase online, I have had 3 follow up emails and a phone call to confirm my order was correct and that they will be removing my old mattress and base. So far so good. 5 - 10 days for delivery and the delivery team will call prior to delivery.
I’ll keep this updated with how delivery goes and of course what we think of the mattress.
Edit: delivery was today, their customer service and communications have been top rate. No issues with delivery or set up and they took away our old base and mattress.
First impressions are very good. The mattress material is soft and the mattress is softer than I expected, I was worried when they called it luxury 'firm' that it might be too firm.
The lineal adjustable base is a blast, we went with the adjustable in the hopes that it might help my snoring - we shall see, the zero gravity position is heavenly. I’ll pop back in a month and let you know how things are going. But so far I'm pleased, if I can answer any questions feel free to ask.
We recently ordered a king Saatva classic for our primary bedroom. We have the same mattress in our guest room in a queen. Had it for about 5 years and we use it pretty regularly because my husband often works off hours and so I often sleep in there to avoid being disturbed.
It’s been 16 years since our existing king was delivered. I recall it was tricky to get it up our stairs but they were able to do it. It is a traditional pillow top innerspring mattress. The queen mattress (also upstairs) was delivered and set up with no problem.
Well, the mattress was delivered today and they couldn’t get it up the stairs. The delivery guys suggested that I talk to Saatva about getting two twin beds or I imagine either two xl twins or a split king.
How viable in that option in terms of comfort and stability? Saatva is supposed to call me to figure out our next steps. I already have a new Saatva mattress pad I was intending to use on the bed but no topper (and would prefer to not use a topper).
TIA!
