My partner has a Sam’s club account and went online and added me as the complimentary member.

How do I get my member number? Can I go to the store myself to get it or do I need her to come with me to get the membership?

I just don’t want to make the trek up there by myself only to have to come back again if I need her to accompany me.

My brother added me as the complimentary membership cardholder but I haven’t gotten an email or text from Sam’s club. How do I go about getting one if I don’t have any confirmation of it?

I recently purchased Plus membership online and added free complimentary household member via name, email, number. Do they just create their own account with the associated email address to receive member benefits?

I do not have a physical membership card. Would they be allowed to walk into store and shop or get their membership card?

So I just got a membership at Sam's Club (yay!) and put my mom as the complimentary membership, but we can't seem to get her set up for the app.

Is she supposed to be signed in under my name or something? I'd have thought she'd need her own login and what not.

Just got my Sams Membership and added my wife as the free cardholder add-on. Tried to pick up cards at the store yesterday but was told it is all digital now and have to register the account with the app. Have done so for myself but my wife can not get her card because I only have the one member number for my account. She keeps getting an error message when she tries to register under her own email address. How does she register to get her own card on the app if she doesn't have a unique member number?

Does having a complimentary Sam’s Club membership through another account holder count as an active membership that prevents you from qualifying for new-member discounts?

Can I add a second person to my card through the app or do I have to do it at the club?

I had previously been a complimentary member under a friend’s account, which expired in late Dec 2023 and they did not renew it.

Well, my sister signed up for the primary membership in September 2024 and put me on as the complimentary member. Problem is that she used the same email for me that had previously been used on the prior complimentary membership. Now every time I try to log in on the app it shows that my membership is expired.

What can I do to rectify this situation. Customer service was no help at all at the club.

My parents gave me their complimentary membership from their Plus membership and it was set to renew on 11/18. It renewed on their account, but for some reason on my account it tells me that my membership has expired and that I should renew. What should I do?

We our new members to Sam’s club. I am VERY confused about membership cards. I signed my wife and I up under our joint email address. When I sign into the app, it shows me as the primary account holder and when I pull up my digital membership card it just has my name under it. I went to the section where you can list additional members. It has my wife’s name and her personal email address listed. But how does she get her own card or own digital card? Does she need one that shows her name on it? Because all we can seem to do is login to our account that only shows my name on the digital card. Sam’s Club was not clear at all about how this works. Just a tidbit of information I wanted to share - I just recently signed up for Sam's Club and added my spouse as a complementary household member.

It seems a bit ridiculous that they don't tell the household member their own ID number in the welcome email so that they can register and use the website/app. I was googling and found some places recommended getting physical cards first or going through chat to find the ID number for the extra members.

What I was able to do is, as the primary account member, go to the Account -> Additional Cardholders section of the website. I opened Developer Tools from the menu in my web browser and found the request with a URL ending in /v3/membership/summary. Viewing the response payload for that request will show the complementary member's membership ID which in my case is very very similar to the primary ID but with a digit changed.

After membership is paid .....Can they go to the app and create the account, do they have to wait on an email ? or wait for the physical card so they can use it?

I was a complimentary member on my ex BF membership which expired last month. I was trying to sign up for the 40% discount Plus membership but they said being my name was listed under his, I have to wait the 6 months. Can I use my moms name but use my credit card info to pay?

So how strict is the whole "household member" thing? I want to get a Sam's Plus membership and give my grandmother the complimentary membership. She doesn't technically live with me, but lives close to me and I help take care of her financially, etc. I would mostly use my card for doing online shipping orders, and she would like to use hers occasionally in the store and more often for getting gas at the Sam's station (she's still able to drive for now). Can we do this, or is there going to be an issue with getting the cards? I've been told they no longer mail them out and you have to actually request them inside a Sam's store, and show a "government issued ID". Of course, her ID will not have the same address I use to register my account. Just trying to figure out if this is worth it before spending the money. If the whole "household" thing is a deal breaker, then it's not worth it to spend the money on a membership just so I can occasionally have things shipped to me for free. But if she's also getting to use it on her gas/groceries, I would consider it worth it.

So plus memberships earn 2% in rewards right? Where does that rewards go??

I have 2 cards. Card A with 1 persons name and card B with my name. If I only use card B on 1000$ of purchases and earn 20$ in rewards does card A have access to that?

This is a huge issue because I share a card with someone and they think I've stolen their rewards cash somehow but it only make sense to me that the rewards earned are saved in whatever card was used to male the purchase. Maybe I'm wrong maybe I'm not.

Edit: to clarify this is NOT the credit card. Just the 110$ yearly plus membership.

I have a Sam's Plus membership that I share with my sister. She has her own account but it's basically under my membership. She has all the Plus perks. We agreed to take turns paying for the membership each year and she has not paid because she claims to not have the money, which is untrue. Can I ask Sam's to remove all accounts under my membership and just have mine valid (if that makes sense)?

I bought a membership online due to finding a link to their $20 membership deal but when I went into the club today they said they no longer do physical membership cards anymore. Is this true? seems like a hassle to need to use your phone.

Anyways. I noticed they are to send my cards via snail mail.

So is there a way to fully shop without one?

Will they make a fuss at the door when entering or leaving?

The reason I ask is because there is a separate "Register Membership" option under Login

But, when I logged in normally, under my account, it will display a digital card.

The digital card doesn't seem to be the same number they will be shipping out.

I will b shopping at the one in Chino, CA if that's of any relevance.
