I like Sam’s! You don’t find the same passionate devotees on here for Sam’s that you do for Costco. Due to a need for hearing aids I have a membership in both stores (for now). Our Sam’s membership predates the Costco one by twenty years. Here’s what I like about Sam’s: Scan and Go - use the app to scan your purchases as you shop. You never have to deal with a checkout line and it also makes it easier to be aware how much you are spending in the moment, and reduces purchases (for me). Overall, I have found prices at Sam’s to be lower than Costco in an item for item comparison for the items I buy. To be fair, you would be unlikely to see me rolling a full cart at either place. We eat low carb and little to no real junk food/pre-made foods (such as pizzas, chicken nuggets, taquitos, etc.) My bill is most often under $100. My Sam’s is rarely ever jam-packed with shoppers, making the experience more pleasant and quicker than Costco. I’ve never had any issue returning items to Sam’s, if needed. For me, Costco beats Sam’s on very good prices for high quality hearing aids and good follow up care. Also, their gas is considered “top-tier” and better quality than Sam’s gas. They also seem to have more new product offerings and maybe more diverse healthy food products. Their clothing is good too. Sam’s clothing is good, but again, not as much diversity/turnover as Costco. More on reddit.com

It’s basically just Costco but Wal-Mart branded with a few different items, so if you saved with Costco, I’d do it. More on reddit.com

A lot of members just cancel there membership and go online to Groupon to get a new membership as the deals aren’t for renewal but new ones. And going in store they don’t offer any online price matching if you want a deal online it has to be done online. It’s great for saving money to just get a new one. More on reddit.com
