Best Settings for Samson Q2U Mic on Audacity in Pre and Post
This is how I used (same mic, straight to Audacity) to record and my biggest issue was too much bass and my final product not being loud enough. It seems like no matter what I did, it still sucked. I finally started using Auphonic. But that said I would record with the mic volume in Audacity at like 80 and record fairly close to the mic and try to watch for clipping. Then I'd use noise reduction, filter curve, & compression. More on reddit.com
