Hi, I just got a upgrade to a S24 Ultra and seeing that all of my chargers are only 15W, I decided it's time to get a new one.
So I was wondering if the 45W charger is a better investment than the standard 25W.
I did watch some videos about it and to be honest I wasn't really impressed with the 45W one but I wanted to hear your opinions too.
I do not recommend anyone to buy 45w charger kit and here's why.
•Charging speed difference is way too small for its cost
With normal charging speed it takes 2:11m to charge my Galaxy s23 plus from 4% until full.
With Super fast charging (25w) it takes 1:06m
With Super fast charging 2.0 (45w) it takes 58m
I would post pictures but the subreddit doesn't allow me.
It's only 8 minutes difference, and if you're charging not from 4% but from 40% in example, the difference will be even smaller.
• Wire is way too thick
Samsung Super fast charging 2.0 (45w) uses 5A cable which gives up to 100w. It's a thick cable and you will not like it for a daily use. People usually get 100w cables to charge their large notebooks.
As you can see that little speed difference doesn't justify the price and the uncomfortable thickness of that cable at all.
