r/galaxybuds on Reddit: *Buds Live* Defective Touch Controls?
June 21, 2019 -

Hello, I wasn't able to find anyone discussing this so I thought I'd make a thread. Has anyone else had issues where the buds live can't correctly detect the number of touches? I have about a 10% success rate in trying to skip tracks by touching either of my buds. I've tried slower tapping, faster, firmer and lighter touches, and it almost always registers 3 taps and goes back to the beginning of the song. Single tap for pause/play is a little more reliable but still often incorrect.

I ordered a second set of the buds with the intention to return the first ones if the second ones performed better, but they have the same problem. I'm wondering if this is something anatomic about how they are fitting in my ear? Maybe there's some skin touching somewhere and that's making the readings wrong? Anyway I just wanted to see if anybody else is experiencing this, as I otherwise love the headphones.

r/galaxybuds on Reddit: How to permanantly stop touch controls on my galaxy buds pro?
November 20, 2021 -

The touch controls drive me nuts. Whenever I try to adjust my buds I accidentaly skip an entire song. I've tried to use the "block touches" setting but it only works when the app is running on my device. It stops working whenever the app unloads from my device's memory. Also, I cant work out how to install the app on ios devices (such as ipad air 4).

Is there any way I can turn off the touch sensors on my buds without the app, permenantly?

r/galaxybuds on Reddit: Galaxy Buds Live sound awful...and no integrated volume button?
January 4, 2021 -

I've messed around in the sound settings, adjusting a bunch of different stuff but no matter what, they just sound tinny and bad. My boyfriend's $40 buds from Amazon sound way better than these. There's gotta be a way or some setting specifically that will make them sound better. Any advice is welcome!

Also, I'm really shocked that you have to choose between adjusting the volume and something else such as opening Google Assistant. Is there an app to workaround this? Ideally I'd like to have short press for volume up/down and long press for assistant or something like that.
