Samsung Galaxy S22

I don't get the whole "upgrade every year" mindset. Shit's expensive. Use it until it doesn't work for your needs anymore. That goes for everything. I still use my S22+ and there's nothing wrong with it. Truth is, for something like 15 years now, every time I get a new phone, that whole realization after the first day that the new phone doesn't actually do anything different the old one did sets in and makes me question "why?" Literally the only phone I miss owning was the Essential PH-1 because it was a piece of electronic art, felt great in the hand, and the monochrome camera was amazing - the color camera was just mediocre. But even still, what came afterwards and before wasn't a huge difference between devices. More on reddit.com

I hope Samsung will bring back the sd card slot.

Samsung USED TO portray itself as Anti Apple/Consumer Friendly by adding new things to mobiles while Apple only removed.

Now Samsung annoyingly copies worst of the worst of Apple and wonder why sales are going down.

Yeah the price is very inflated at release, I unfortunately bought the S22 for $800 but a couple months after release it was on sale on ebay for $400-$500 dollars. I learned my lesson, just wait a couple months after release and buy it then. More on reddit.com

There is no reason to not update. You missed out on many important security updates, just because of an unfounded fear. The S22 series performs even better on Android 14 than on Android 13. At least the Exynos versions. Can’t speak for the snapdragon models. So go ahead and don’t skip the updates.
