To me lte is worth it in the us even if you dont have a mobile plan. All phones regardless of a mobile plan or activation are required to be able to dial 911 here so it can make that call in an emergency without a plan. More on reddit.com

About 30h, so needs daily charging, as I end the day with 30-40% left. LTE uses suprisingly little power too, I can make through the whole day with never connecting the watch to the phone via BT, but instead just keeping it on LTE and mobile data. But there is currently a problem going around with all GW6 watches, which is random power drain. Most days the sleep tracking uses about 10% of battery for me, one night it used 25%. If you watched DCrainmaker review, seems like he also has random drain problems, as he said that his watch uses 25-35% battery each night, which is insane. Also he says that gps usage is about 20% an hour, while for me it is about 10%. So seems like the watch has bugs that need to be ironed out till we know the true power draw. More on reddit.com

If your phone is mostly with you, then there is no need to get a LTE model. That being said, it's worth checking with your mobile carrier to see if they're offering an deals. I was able to get a GW6C 43mm LTE for free from my carrier. The data plan is $15/month which I must pay for 2 years. After that, I can cancel the data line and not pay any penalty. That only comes to $360, and at the time, it would have cost me $449 if I bought it from Samsung or a retailer like Bestbuy. I would look at various models and hold them on your wrist to see how they look. Also, it's important to view the screens for yourself to decide if it's big enough for you. I don't like watches that look oversized, especially when the case extends over the wrist. But that's me. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and i think the 43mm is the perfect size. Again, that's just me. I hope Samsung improves their health tracking accuracy (going by multiple scientific tests it's either mediocre or average) and their heart rate tracking specifically because it falls behind occasionally, because otherwise I'd call these the best alternative to Apple Watch for Android users. Never had any (other) issues with my 4 Classic and I'm getting a 40mm 6 too. Personally it's not a huge issue anyways though, I would get a Garmin if I cared enough about accurate data but I just use the data as reference, doesn't need to be perfect. More on reddit.com
