Given the limited colors of GW7, Green and Cream, did anyone regret their choice of color? If yes, why? What happened than made you regret your choice?
What would have been your first choice if black and silver was also a choice?
So far I've only come across three colors: beige, silver and green.
It looks like there's no black option so far. What a bummer.

So I'm getting the galaxy watch 7 next week and I was going to go for the white version because I thought it would look better than the green but looking at pictures of the green one, the case itself looks more grey? If anyone has the green version, does it look more on the grey side? If so I'd probably opt for the green instead because I was just going to put a different band on it anyway.
My local had both on display but could only interact with the Watch 7.
First thoughts, seems snappier than the Watch 6, not as much lag when scrolling through the tiles, I really hated that on the watch 6. Otherwise, I couldn't really see any difference. The New watch OS is has some updates to the tiles and looks more appleish than before.
Ultra colors:
I had a hard time deciding which color to go for but here are my thoughts.
Titanium Grey: Best color, IMO. The orange accents give it the most sporty look to it and the case is dark grey all over which looks the best.
Titanium silver: Second best color, at least more subtle but the mismatch of colors I dont like. Black bezel, then silver, then black looks a bit weird in my eyes.
Titanium White: Nice looking but seems a bit more feminine than I would go for.
What color did you pick?
I initially thought about getting a Titanium Gray, but I know I will eventually hate the orange accent. Probably in a month or two.
I chose Titanium Silver since the color can be worn for most of the occasions and styles.
I went titanium/silver . I've always gone black , or as close as they make to black , but wanted something different this time .

I hate that the 40mm watch 7 only comes in green and cream. I'm small and the 44mm is too large for me so I'm stuck with the off colors. I wish the 40mm came in black.
Trying to pick a color. It is almost impossible to see proper pics of silver with grey band. Which one would you recommend?
Curious what color you guys are getting for the Watch 7 Ultra.
I did, Titanium gray with the orange strap, They put in an extra black strap as well. Got the pre order bonus, sweet trade in for my 5pro and the $50 off for signing up yesterday.
Yes, I caved in. Titanium grey, also added another black strap due to the insane discount. Trading 6 classic in.
Discounts made it worth it (I hope ๐).
I have the galaxy watch 6 44mm in graphite and wanted to upgrade to the watch 7 44mm because I can get it for 30$ with trade in. But I really wish they had it in black or graphite. Green just doesn't suit everyone and I'm not a fan of the light white color.
Today I found out that the "green" Galaxy Watch7 isn't really olive green like on Samsung's pictures. It is actually anthracite which looks way better imo.
The thing is that I ordered the silver one because I didn't like the green just to find out that it would actually look better than silver. I won't cancel my order though because I won't get all that discounts again.
So everyone be warned, make your decision based on real pictures and not on Samsung's bullsh*t marketing pictures.
As per title, I have also mentioned official colour names in the parenthesis.
No one can convince me the white or gray Galaxy watch ultra's look half as good as the silver.๐ฅต
I can see the appeal of the Google watch in that it seems futuristic in the way something from a video game would look, but it still looks too much like a fit bit and doesn't have any sparkle that gives it any touch if class. It's also impossible to put a screen protector on the thing even if you wanted to protect it from its completely vulnerable design.
The apple watch with its rectangular design isn't for everyone but if you like square watches I'd go for that over the Google watch. The metal rim makes it more of a fashion accessory that pops. It's also more rugged where the edges are armored by something stronger than glass.
The galaxy watch 7 has a really nice stitched band, at least mine does, they have a lot to choose from. It has a steel bezel that creates the optical illusion that the watch is a round disc that is being held by the steel bezel and could pop right out when pushed hard enough.
I also appreciate that the metal they chose was different, from stainless steel for the silver variant and armored I believe 7000 series aluminum for the other colors. It also feels weightless and somehow manages to be the lightest of the trio with the Google watch for some reason being the heaviest though it has the fewest features. It's a gram more but feels heavier for some reason.
I'd say the Google watch 3 looks geek sheik, or like a video name prop. The apple watch 9 looks hip, fun and the most sporty. The Samsung watch 7 looks futuristic in a classy steam/cyber punk way where it'd go just as well with a tux as a t shirt.
The choice of having a risen rim although I have my reservations with it, namely, that it makes me feel like I need a case, also allows the display to be completely flat so there's no issue with the glare that is virtually unavoidable with the apple and the Google watches.
Although the GW7 extended the rim around the glass more than it had been in prior models where the glass was flush, I have to admit it does look nicer and gives it a better sense of esthetic balance particularly when viewed from the side or at an angle.
This also makes it possible to have a case where the glass is perfectly flush so that it appears as if there is no case on at all versus when the case would have to rise above the outer edge of the display which would make the capacitive scrolling rim difficult to use (a feature I adore).
I had my complaints and almost went with the apple watch due to how it seemed as if the design was meant to render the device more vulnerable to scratches, but I can also see how many people do like to swap cases to match their outfit etc and this design is the most conducive to that, and unlike the Google watch which uses gorilla glass, apple and Samsung both use sapphire glass.
What ultimately convinced me to get the GW7 is the technology which is evolving far beyond a fitness tracker, I'm working on writing about that concurrently. The device is approaching more of a health monitor and satellite phone where I find myself using it so much it's offsetting the battery is otherwise be burning through on my phone.
Ironically the google watch looks more Asian, specifically Taiwanese fashion to me to the point I wonder if those who were retained behind from htc or something designed it, while the galaxy watch 7 looks charmingly retro futuristic like a James bond watch. While the Google eatcjooks pretty much as anonymous--even amorphous as possible, the number of esthetic flourishes from the symmetry above and below the bezel, to the swoop of the band into the clasping arms, the dark metal ring around the sapphire glass that juts up about as much as the bottom appears to jut down all work in a way where it just has a classic yet modern look.
Prior Galaxy watches didn't have the added metal rim around the glass at all but would have the bezel angled up a bit to surround the glass so they'd meet flush. This to me was a more durable design but I have to admit I do think the new design looks more interesting and is more practical even at the cost of being more likely to be skuffed.
You can see how putting a case on the Google watch would cause the glass to appear sunken in below the case while a case designed for the gw7 would barely be noticeable and wouldn't obstruct operation at all. This used the case (no pun intended) for galaxy watch cases prior where using the capacitive rim to scroll was obstructed by the case.
The apple watch looks pretty much exactly like what a fit bit or a pebble evolved into and I think continues to try to look like the penultimate fitness tracker 1st and smart watch 2nd. I think out of all three the apple watch would have benefited from being flat versus having rounded edges. The Google watch should have the crown where it is and just copied Samsung's capacitive scrolling bezel.
Thanks for reading. What are your thoughts?
Planning to get watch 7 , can't decide which color i should go for , i don't like cases so main criteria would be which color is the best in terms of hiding scratches ๐ค
