Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 review
A comprehensive review of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, including tests of the new health features, battery life, and sports tracking. The Galaxy Watch has been an annual smartwatch staple for some time now. Just like we know a new Apple Watch will land sometime in September, the same can be said about a new flagship Samsung smartwatch.
In modern smartwatches, though, the differences between generations are often minimal. And Samsung isn't ringing the design changes with the Galaxy Watch 7, with its latest iteration looking virtually identical to last year's Galaxy Watch 6.

Coming from my GW5 Pro I'm going to regret this it seems. I figured it would be very efficient in battery life overall and make it at least a day and a half.

People are just now starting to get the watch. It takes a few days to optimize and analyze how they used the watch for the battery life to be good. I wouldn't be worried yet at all. I have the ultra coming next week myself. I just want it to make it to bed at night and not die during the day. My usual routine now though is wear it 23.5\7. I charge it nearly every day while I shower for half hour or so and make it through the day. Never had an issue. Once a week, I charge it to full. People expect the world from the watches and for everything it does, 1.5 to 2 days is plenty for the occasional time I don't charge it in that small window.

I pre-ordered my Galaxy Watch 7 three days ago. It discharges very quickly. From 100% to 20% in 8 hours. I have AOD off, Heart rate off, no GPS and no apps other than the preinstalled ones. My Watch 4 used to be all on and it lasted 2 days from the very beginning. The Samsung Support gives ready-made answers and closes the chat without prior notice.

July 26, 2024 - According to my analysis in Battery Historian, it appears that it's constantly exchanging data with the phone. Resetting the watch doesn't help. ... Don't use Google or bubby on it. All turned off ... I'm at 56% now and plan on being out late tonight so having to put watch on charge.

I'm fairly new to smart watches in general. I charged my watch every night. It was fully charged and I've had it on since 6 am. It's now almost 5pm...my battery is at 8 percent. Is this normal? I got this watch a few day ago. Is it possible to keep all the health features without draining the watch so quickly?

Even the 40mm should last you more than 12 hours. Is this your first charge? If it is, it's kind of normal since the watch has to download all the apps and go through its set up process. The battery should get better after a few days but I've been seeing a lot of reports bad terrible battery life in this sub.

Definitely something is wrong. Took my watch off the charger at 11 AM and now at 930PM, it's at 24%. Been mostly stationary today working from home. AOD on and constant heart monitoring. Same as my GW4 was set up and that lasted more than a day

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 review
The Galaxy Watch 7 doesn’t look all that different to the Galaxy Watch 6, but improved performance, battery life, and health tracking makes for a reasonable improvement. It’s a shame you’ll need a Samsung phone to get the full experience, though. Samsung's all-new Galaxy Watch Ultra grabbed most of the attention following the company's latest Unpacked event, but that's not the smartwatch most people will be considering. The Galaxy Watch 7 comes in at around half the price whilst boasting a similar core selection of smart and fitness-tracking features.
Featuring the same improved performance,

August 8, 2024 - Still, it’s designed to be Samsung’s mainstream smartwatch product. And in reality, it does virtually everything the new Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra does, except with a smaller battery life and no emergency siren. It’s got the same new optical heart rate sensor, the same new multi-band/dual-frequency GPS, and the same new Energy Score and other fitness-related metrics/features.

Galaxy Watch 7 Review: Is it Worth Buying the Samsung Smartwatch?
September 21, 2024 - Samsung raised the price of its Galaxy Watch smartphones last year. One year later, with the integration of Galaxy AI, extended tracking functions, and a new SoC, there are finally reasons to spend more on the smartwatch. While the battery life remains too short for comfort, and you should definitely take a closer look at the new Galaxy Watch Ultra (review) before buying, the Watch 7 is still the best smartwatch for Samsung fans.

Hi, Many complained about the autonomy a few months ago. But today is it better after the updates? I want to use the watch for sleep and health data monitoring (heart rate all day, steps but gps off). What can I expect with AOD off and bluetooth off ? Thanks

No idea what aod and bluetooth off does. But with it on (aod turns off in sleep mode) i had to charge in the morning and in the evening. (Once while showering. Other charge when browsing reddit on phone before sleeping) It was so bloody annoying. But i need the sleep tracking. Keept this up for the last few months. Sold the watch today and got a huawei GT5. Full week of battery with AOD always on.

AOD off, BT ON, WIFI ON, LTE ON here. Battery life about two days. I sleep with the watch on for the sleep tracking. I put it on the charger when I wake up and while I shower.
