The only thing that's changed is literally the 64gb of storage, everything else like the chip is the same. https://www.sammobile.com/news/galaxy-watch-ultra-2025-features-two-changes/ Answer from Formal_Produce3759 on reddit.com

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2024 vs 2025... Nothing change? : r/GalaxyWatch
July 12, 2025 - Updates supported for an additional year (I believe 2024 will be supported until 2029 and 2025 until 2030) I got the 2024 grey for €309.00, bought a steel bracelet for a few euros online and it's amazing! ... What about the thickness of the new ultra watch.

r/GalaxyWatch on Reddit: Ultra 2025 vs 2024
July 9, 2025 -

I was on Samsung's site just now, and they are showing all 4 Ultra colorways (Blue, Gray, Silver, White) as "Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025)" and not available until July 25th. I thought the new color was the only update vs. the previous one. Are there sensor or other differences between the 2025 vs 2024 for the existing colors? Or is it just that it comes with One UI 8 right away?

r/GalaxyWatch on Reddit: Real hardware differences Ultra 2024 vs 2025?
July 11, 2025 -

I know that the main difference is 32GB (2024) vs 64GB (2025) and the addition of blue color.

But I have 2 main questions:

  1. Does anybody know if sensors / biosensors are updated to a higher revision or so? Not asking if there are new sensors or features (which they are not), but maybe a newer or revised chips which may allow new Labs features that right now we don't know (just wondering).

  2. does the 2024 Ultra bands work on the 2025 Ultra version? They look the same but don't know if they are or not.

Thanks guys!

r/GalaxyWatch on Reddit: Should I buy the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2024 or wait for the 2025 version in Australia?
July 10, 2025 -

I'm considering getting a new smartwatch and am torn between purchasing the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024) now or waiting for the 2025 model.

Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024):

  • Released in July 2024.

  • Features include a titanium build, sapphire crystal glass, dual-frequency GPS, and advanced health tracking.

  • Priced at AU$1,299.

Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025):

  • Announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, 2025.

  • Maintains a similar design with a titanium case and round display within a squircle body.

  • Upgraded with the Exynos W1000 chip, 64GB storage, and 2GB RAM.

  • Runs on One UI 8 based on Android 16.

  • Expected to be priced around €699.99 (~AU$1,150).

  • Pre-orders start today, with shipping from July 25.

I'm based in Melbourne, and I'm wondering if it's worth waiting a couple of weeks for the newer model, especially considering the potential improvements and similar price point.

What do you think? Is the 2025 version a significant upgrade over the 2024 model? Any insights would be appreciated!

r/GalaxyWatch on Reddit: Is there a way to *visually* tell the difference between Ultra 2025 and 2025?
October 15, 2025 -

EDIT: I meant Ultra 2024 and 2025. I swear I proofread that shit like five times. 🤦‍♀️

When I'm looking at online listings, it's hard to tell unless it's explicitly stated. I know there's a storage difference, but is there a visible difference? It seems even the model numbers are the same, unless I'm missing something.

August 13, 2025 - It turns out that the new color scheme (and twice the internal storage amount) are the only hardware differences between the 2024 and 2025 Watch Ultra models, so if you don't have a burning desire for the color then look for the 2024 model that ...

r/GalaxyWatch on Reddit: What do we think about this one? (watch ultra 2025)
July 22, 2025 -

Design: kinda like it kinda hate it, i love how big it it but hate the way the smallest band doesn't fit my wrist (the band is to big)

Screen: really love how bright it gets but hate that its a round screen on a squire

Wrist band connection: yea i had to watch (ultra) a YouTube video to figure it out😅

Looks: for my style (gray sweatpants and gray hoody) the white version looks fantastic absolutely love it

Buttons: i dont understand why they give it a rotating button (middle one) that doesn't work on screen (maybe i have a setting wrong)

Battery: it started at 84 and after around 30 minutes its already down to 71 but ill give it a week to adjust its downloading stuff in background and its still getting used to my patehern

Conclusion: i like it more than i hate it so far

July 28, 2025 - So far, there is no difference to my Watch Ultra. BP seems a tad better. Everything else is the same if not slightly worse. The 2025 Ultra is blue and 64GB storage, nothing else, so not even worthy of an MK1.1 title.

r/GalaxyWatch on Reddit: Switching to GalaxyWatch Ultra 2025 from Apple Watch Ultra 2
September 17, 2025 -

Pros (Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025): • Battery lasts longer (2–4 days vs Apple’s ~1.5–2). • Bigger storage (64 GB vs 32 GB). • Super bright display, easy to read in sunlight. • Rugged build (titanium, sapphire, MIL-STD-810H). • Works great with Android ecosystem + new AI features. • More color and strap options.

Cons (vs Apple Watch Ultra 2): • Apple’s ecosystem still feels smoother, especially with iPhones. • Diving & extreme water sports support is better on Apple. • Galaxy charges slower. • Some sensors & workout tracking less accurate. • WatchOS apps & polish still ahead. • No rotating bezel and bulkier feel for some wrists.
