Buy the current one once the new one gets released. The old models get heavily discounted and you won't miss out on much. The current galaxy watch ultra is good enough for most uses and the new one might have slightly improved sensors and a few extra gimmicky health features but nothing ground breaking. But I wouldn't recommend you buy the 2024 watch ultra now, unless you're getting it for a very good price. More on reddit.com

I was on Samsung's site just now, and they are showing all 4 Ultra colorways (Blue, Gray, Silver, White) as "Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025)" and not available until July 25th. I thought the new color was the only update vs. the previous one. Are there sensor or other differences between the 2025 vs 2024 for the existing colors? Or is it just that it comes with One UI 8 right away?

I'm considering getting a new smartwatch and am torn between purchasing the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024) now or waiting for the 2025 model.
