Looking to upgrade to a refurbished model of one of these. Backmarket lists the prices as $458 vs $578 (respectively).
Both would be a MAJOR upgrade from my current phone, but I can't really decide.
Also, I'm a college student, so I don't want to spend more if I don't need to. Of course, with the Note 20 Ultra aging, the S22U feels like the better option, especially since I usually upgrade every 4 years or so.
Thoughts?

If you don't require the sd card storage i'd suggest the S22 Ultra. Although the Note 20 Ultra is an amazing phone and I have no issues with it, the security updates are scheduled to end August 2024. I'd expect at least 3 additional years out of the S22 Ultra before updates get discontinued there.

I would go for the 22 ultra. Bigger battery, newer hardware, and it gets OS updates for 5 years. If you look after it you won't have to upgrade for a long time
