Many years ago I used a prepaid card from Australia Post with Samsung pay. Worked fine. I've used a handful of different prepaid visa/MasterCard gift cards with Google pay that have worked fine. Can you add prepaid debit cards to Samsung Pay? (Not entering as a gift card, but using the same button you would use for a normal credit card.) I ask because I have a very specific application in mind.
I want to buy a secondhand Samsung phone, but I want to test the phone first to see whether it works with Samsung Pay (I've been hearing about issues with older Samsung phones that are supposed to work).
In order to do that, I would prefer not to use my real credit card in front of the random stranger selling me the phone. So I'd like to use a fake card from privacy.com, and just manually enter those details.
