If you go into the settings within samsung pay there's the favorite cards option, you can choose where you want to see the swipe up thingy or just turn it off entirely

I prefer to use Samsung Pay. In Google Pay when I register a credit card it saves it in the Google account instead of saving it only in the phone as in Samsung Pay (which also uses Samsung Knox) More on reddit.com

Safer than using your physical card. Samsung Pay (just like all other tap to pay systems) has two layers of security on top of what your card already has. First, the card number transmitted is not your real card number. When you add a card, your bank generates a virtual card number that they link to your real card. This virtual card is the only card number known to your phone. Your real card number (other than the last 4 digits for reference) is not stored anywhere other than your bank, where the virtual card is linked. Your phone doesn't know it at all. Second, every transaction also inserts a one-time token into the header information of the card. This applies to both NFC and MST transactions. These tokens are only good for a single transaction, and they expire after a period of time if they aren't used, so they have to be replaced frequently. They are generated by your bank and sent directly to your phone, so Samsung does not know what they are or store them in any way. These tokens are stored encrypted in a secure element in your phone, and are only accessible by Samsung Pay. If the card is presented without a valid token, the transaction fails. This means that even if your virtual card number were somehow skimmed, it would be completely useless to the thief. The security of mobile payment systems in incomparable.
