My beloved S10+ was stolen last week so I'm now in the market for a new waterproof phone that has awesome cameras, great battery life, and a headphone jack. I wasn't aware that a 5G version of the S10 existed but it does and it checks all of my boxes. I know that the phone is almost 4 years old at this point and it will stop receiving security options soon but it looks awesome and I can buy it new in my country. What do you guys think? Should I buy it? It's between the S10 5G, galaxy a72 and zenfone 9 for me.

Of note, I have the 5G and have only had a 5G signal once in all of the years that I have owned it, so don't buy it for 5G. The S10 5G only has a couple of the bands unlike most newer 5G phones. Also, the 5G is missing some of the features compared to the S10+ (No SD card, No heart rate/SpO2)

Something very important about cell phones that not many understand or talk about is security updates. Every company has a number of years which they offer these updates. Once your phone stops getting them, it's just basically a brick unless you're ok with using a cell phone that's easy to hack. S10 will stop getting these March 2023.
