Hello,
Today i have bought a S23U. It's Vietnam variant (SM-S918B/DS). Phone production date is April 10, 2024 which i have checked through IMEI checking sites.
I have got this phone shipped with One UI 6.1 and Android 14.
Now my question is, is it okay to get this phone shipped with this software version? I mean Samsung itself pushed the updated version because of it's a recent batch. Or was it supposed to ship with Android 13, One UI 6.0?
I am concerned if my phone is used or not :)

The factory flashes the phone with whatever the current release software is for you CSC, at the time of production.

S23U was shipped with A13 One UI 5.1 at launch Feb 2023, while my phone (production date 2023-12-02 i.e December 02, 2023) that I bought in Feb 2024, came with A14 One UI 6.0 out of the box. Specifically, One UI 6.0 baseband version S918BXXU3BWJM October 2023 Now my question is, is it okay to get this phone shipped with this software version? Yes. I mean Samsung itself pushed the updated version because of it's a recent batch. Yes, that's why your phone came with One UI 6.1 (which itself was released on March 31st) Though in my case, my phone was shipped with a 2 month older software version, counting from its production date. In your case, they shipped it with the latest update 6.1, that was only 10-11 days old at that point. I am concerned if my phone is used or not :) Even if it was, at most it was just used for a week or two max. If you believe your phone was supposed to be shipped with One UI 6.0 instead of 6.1, and that actually your phone was used before you got it and was manually updated to 6.1 by that person, then you can check this by going to your software update page in settings and see what it says in the "last update" section. I haven't updated my phone even once since I got it so mine says " There's no information about this update ".
