Just curious if this has happened to anyone else. I ordered a new, unlocked s24 ultra 512gb from the Samsung store on amazon. I've ordered one before w no issues.
First, after powering up, it goes straight to desktop. First red flag.
Second, the phone is slower than my Note 5 from 2015. Like painfully slow.
Third, little things didn't work. For example, the search feature in Settings did nothing when clicked.
Fourth, the speaker was muffled and sounded like a $3 bluetooth speaker off Wish.
Fifth, to get it ready for return, I did a data wipe. As the phone booted up, a white screen with flames and some logo, I believe it was "TH", appeared. I've had every Galaxy phone and it def was not factory.
And lastly, I'm with Spectrum mobile and was trying to switch over to Xfinity where my Internet is, and the IMEI would not register with either company. I would with Verizon.
I called my business acct mgr and specifically asked if this phone was supplied by Samsung and they said YES. On the product page, it says "Sold by Amazon . com". However, once I bought it, the invoice now says "Supplied by Other". "Other" is not listed anywhere on the product page. See screenshots.
Here is the link and you can see for yourself: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CMDWC436?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
More than like a return swap job w a counterfeit. They wasted their time because the speed of the processor is a dead giveaway. Supplied by Other is definitely fishy and indicates something a little deeper may be at play here.
I've returned the phone but was just curious if anyone has had a similar experience.
And of course, I know the experts who will not even read all of the details will chime in an attempt to look smart.
