Absolutely. I still rock mine. I've had it since release and have put it through hell. Still functions perfectly and the battery lasts. I can go almost an entire week without charging it. I say go for it. Answer from int0_thev0id on reddit.com

r/GalaxyWatch on Reddit: Is a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro Still Worth Buying?
September 26, 2024 -

Hello all, I just recently switched from Apple to Android and I am looking for a watch that works with my Pixel. I don't love the look of the Pixel Watch.

I think the Samsung line-up look the best, and in my brief research the Watch 5 Pro seems to have been a great device. I have found it on eBay for around $120, or I could trade the Apple Watch in with Samsung and get the new Ultra for $350ish.

Is the Ultra worth three times the price of the "refurbished" 5 Pro?

I went into it in my Galaxy Watch 5 review, but Wear OS Powered by Samsung is better this year than last. For those still sitting on the fence there are some great prices now (if any left) for the Watch 5 pro, it is a bargain, big battery, mine lasts 3 days or 3.5. Light Titanium body. Also the new Watch 7 Ultra has that square round look, and a few extra software features in Samsung Health, a slightly faster chip set, but the Ultra Battery is the same size of W5 Pro of 590mAh.

r/GalaxyWatch on Reddit: Galaxy Watch 5 Pro Review
August 21, 2023 -

Hey guys. I recently got a deal on a new Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, so I chose it over the 6 Classic. The rotating bezel wasn’t worth $100 USD extra to me (taking deal into account). So, here’s a quick review after a little over a week.

Looks: I chose the silver/titanium colored version. In my opinion it looks better than the black, as is a bit more versatile. Definitely looks more premium in person.

Size: I’ve seen many people talk about the watch being chunky. It is. It’s larger than my San Martin and all my previous apple watches. But it’s manageable. As someone who wears large G Shocks, it isn’t that bad to me and can comfortably be worn to bed.

Functionality: Works well. No freezing so far. I’ve been using it for workouts, general health, notifications and sleep tracking. It performs fair to good in all categories except the GPS is a bit off sometimes. I expected this from YouTube reviews, so it isn’t a huge issue.

Battery: The first couple days were a bit rough. There were two (2) reasons for this. One, it was learning my usage. Two, I stupidly left ADB and a one-minute timeout on. It’s been stellar for the last three days. I usually charge my smartwatches while getting ready for work, but I only do this every other day now. Please note that I have all features (Always On display, continuous heartrate etc) turned on.

Durability: Funnily enough, I only added this section right before typing this review. I smacked the top of the watch against a concrete wall in error. The only damage is a small scratch in the titanium. I think that’s a major win because it could have been much worse. I'll get a case soon -_-

All in all, I’m happy with the purchase. If you guys have any questions, let me know.
