Best place to buy animatronics?

Basic starting point is probably big box stores- Home Depot, spirit, maybe lowes. Buy them online way early or they’ll run out. Frightprops has a lot of stuff too. Also, check if there are any local haunter groups. Many exist and might be a good way to connect and learn more about how to make these (many haunters use homemade props that are miles better than the entry level store bought stuff). Why don’t spirit Halloween animatronics look as scary as they did 10 years ago?

My theory is that they are catering to a younger audience. It seems to be purposeful that even the scary looking props don’t have scary phrases. I think they want the little kids to be excited to come see them, not run away screaming. I wish they would still make at least one a year to be the scary one, even if they didn’t set it up in store. Thoughts on spirit halloween clown animatronics?

The balloon holding animatronic is a bit grotesque in face, but otherwise a potentially nice clown decoration. If it were remade to have less wrinkles and no head wound, I would want one. The other two are clearly scary monsters. More on reddit.com
