after i enrolled in github student pack in scrimba 1 month free acess not start there is any additional steps?
I did the HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS units of FreeCodeCamp, and left frustrated with the experience. Each nugget of info was great, but was at a loss when asked to put a project together. So far I'm loving the Scrimba courses. Not only do they teach the details, but they show how to make a holistic project.
But is the paid option worth it? To tell the truth, I'm strapped for cash. They've sent a 24h discount, and it might save me a lot of money if I pull that trigger. However, I'd save even more money if I don't at all.
I'd like to know from people who paid. Did you get your money's worth from the pro courses? Or would I be just as well off with the free ones?
Are there any student discounts at Scrimba?
Scrimba offers student discounts. Students with an academic email can email help@scrimba.com to get the discount processed. Additionally, students can get 1 free month of Scrimba Pro through the GitHub Student Developer Pack.
How can I get a Scrimba discount?
There are several ways to get a Scrimba.com discount:
- Newsletter Subscription: Sign up for Scrimba's newsletter. They often send out special offers and exclusive discounts to their subscribers.
- Social Media: Follow Scrimba on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. They often post about discounts and promotions.
- Discount Link: Use a discount link to get an instant 10% off Scrimba's paid plans.
- Student Discount: If you're a student, you can email Scrimba from your official academic email to get a coupon link.
- Bulk Discount: If you're looking to train a team in web development and AI engineering, Scrimba offers a bulk discount.
Remember, the larger your bill, the higher the discount you will get. If you have more questions, feel free to ask.
Does Scrimba offer a discount on first order?
Scrimba.com does not explicitly offer a discount specifically for the first order. However, they frequently provide various discounts and promo codes that can be applied to any purchase, including first-time orders. These discounts can range from 10% to 75% off, depending on the available offers.
I'm planning to subscribe to Scrimba Pro, and I wanted to get genuine feedback from fellow Indian developers or learners before I commit. I've seen a lot of hype around their Frontend Career Path and also the backend, but I want to know if it's really as effective as they claim. If you've taken any Scrimba course, especially the career path ones, how was your experience? Were the projects good enough to build a real portfolio? Did it help you get a job or internship? How's the teaching quality compared to platforms like Udemy or freeCodeCamp? Also, does the pricing feel justified? I know they offer regional pricing in India, but it's still a decent chunk of money if I'm going to stick with it for a few months. Would love to hear any success stories, honest reviews, or even warnings. Just trying to make an informed decision here. Thanks in advance!
Hi all,
I am starting with my new carrier (Front end developer), hopefully .I dont have any experience with the programming. My background is Chemistry xD . I found out about Scrimba. Does it worth to go with pro plan ? or is it better to go with courses like Udemy, Freecodecamp,w3schools ,Zerotomastery (ZTM) etc?
Any suggestions, recommendations are welcome :)
There's 60% off sale. Maybe only running until Cyber Monday. Includes all Pro courses like "From Figma to code", "UI Design", along with JS, React, Tailwind CSS, etc.
Then maybe after the annual, one can transition to a quarter sub on their bootcamp where it includes a code review, "teacher-led sessions".
You can pay monthly but bigger discount if sub is on an annual.
Far as I know, Scrimba has good rep on YT and Reddit. But I'm checking here for firsthand reviews if available. Thanks.
Hey, for anybody else attempting the self-taught route, just a heads up that the scrimba "Learn React for Free" course seems pretty good. Good format, good pacing, good examples, seems relatively updated etc.
Looking for at least 4 people willing to spend $39 for a year sub of PRO Scrimba.
$39 Is their cost for one month and buying a year (paying month-to-month) costs $468 to you’ll get 12 months for the price of 1!
Also willing to do $4 a month OR trading access to another coding educational platform.
The more the merrier. Let’s all learn to code together :)
Let me know if interested- thanks.
Full disclosure since this has been an issue in the comments. Currently scrimba is having a sale: $30 a month or $180 for the year if you pay in full.
Regardless if enough people are interest, I will pay for a 1yr sub and you will have access to it until the sub runs out. After sending your one time payment of $39 (Aka the non-sale/regular rate for one month of Scrimba Pro) I will send you all the details. Thanks!
I'm new to programming and looking for another interactive platform besides FreeCodeCamp. Is Scrimba worth paying for?
