Several months ago, I got a parking ticket in New York. I forgot about it, and only months later did I decide to check whether I had paid it or not. This experience made me wonder if there was a service that could automatically notify me about new tickets. To my surprise, I couldn’t find one, so I decided to create it myself! 😊
Yesterday, as a weekend project, I built a web service that helps you:
• Check parking and camera violations for any license plate in New York
• Receive automatic email notifications for new violations
• Use the service without any registration, on desktop or mobile
• Data Source: New York open data.
Let me know if you find this app helpful, and feel free to share any ideas for improvement!

Someone I was riding with turned right on a red light in Denver and was flashed by a traffic cam. They don't have a license plate on the front of their car, but do on the back. I don't know if the traffic cam also takes a picture of the rear after passing by. They have moved around a lot in the the past few years and wouldn't know where the ticket would have been mailed to if they even got one. Is there a specific site and search feature the city or state has to look up whether they got a ticket or not?
When I go to violatinfo.com you have a ticket number and a pin. It only shows you that one ticket number, kind of a bummer. If you paid those.
Sometimes I don’t get my mail and just want to put my license number into the search to make sure - these things always worry me - where can I search online for possible red light tickets in Los Angeles?
