FACEIT Anticheat Secure Boot not working Properly
ugh i feel you, i spent hours wrestling with secure boot on my own board for valorant. if you're stuck on that grey screen after the change, pulling the cmos battery for a few minutes should get you back into bios. on the z390, sometimes you have to set the os type to 'windows uefi mode' first before those secure boot options even show up right. also check that csm is fully disabled - that one's tripped me up before. r/ASRock on Reddit: Secure Boot enabled but not active
June 14, 2024 -

Hi, I’ve just recently gotten this problem on my asrock mobo. This week, all of a sudden my faceit AC gave me the secure boot must be on error. I did not download any new software or installed any new hardware on my mobo.

I’ve done nearly everything to fix this error but problem is that on msinfo32, secure boot is still unsupported. What I’ve done so far: Disabled CSM and enabled TPM. Made sure my ssd is GPT. Install default keys on custom mode and changed it back to standard and enabled secure boot.(multiple times) Secure boot is enabled but still not active.

Any help would be appreciated. TIA. Asrock 570S Riptide Ryzen 5950x Evgq RTX 3090

r/MSI_Gaming on Reddit: FACEIT Anticheat Secure Boot not working Properly
February 14, 2026 -

Hi, I had a MSI MEG Z390 ACE (Yes I know old)

FACEIT has stated that there are issues with the secure boot for the MSI Motherboards and I have tried to do the fix that they suggest which is the go into the secure boot settings on the BIOS Change it to custom and DENY EXECUTE to REMOVEABLE & FIXED MEDIA. I have tried this, Deny execute to removeable Media causes no issue. When I deny access to fixed Media my computer goes NUH UH and just stays on a grey screen and never boots windows.

What am I supposed to do? currently have Faceit Premium, First I had to do TMP 2.0 then there was another setting that required me to update my BIOS to enable as that Bricked my Motherboard and had to short CMOS to allow me to sort it again when i tried it on the original BIOS version. Now I'm on this new BIOS Version FACEIT says secure boot doesn't work properly as the new MSI Version lets everything through.

I am trying to do the Fix as mention above as my BIOS doesnt have a Maximum Security Mode. Anyone had the same issue and have a fix where Deny Execute on Fixed Media results in nothing after saving and leaving BIOS?

r/pcmasterrace on Reddit: Updated security settings in BIOS for "FaceIt" gaming platform, now can't get past BIOS ASRock b560 Pro4
February 18, 2026 -

I was trying to install FaceIt for Counterstrike and Faceit was telling me to up my security in BIOS, I set passwords for each of my 3 hard drives, I know the passwords for them and since that moment I created passwords my computer will not boot to windows. When I start it up it just asks for each HDD password, which I input correctly, then it takes me to BIOS. It won't let me alter or eliminate the passwords on the HDD's I've never seen this before and neither has my friend who is a savant when it comes to computers.

TLDR: PC won't boot past BIOS after I had set passwords for each of my 3 hard drives, even when I input the passwords correctly. Just goes to BIOS settings.

How do I unfuck my PC? No option to eliminate or undo what I've done, not that I can find at least.

r/FACEITcom on Reddit: TPM attestation error on FACEIT fixed by BIOS upgrade (ASRock B450)
January 19, 2026 -

Ran into “TPM attestation not ready” on FACEIT with a dual-boot setup. After some trial and error, the fix was simply upgrading my ASRock B450M Steel Legend BIOS from 10.30 to 10.43 (beta).

After the upgrade:

  • Disabled CSM

  • Enabled fTPM

  • Enabled IOMMU

  • Secure Boot in UEFI/Standard

FACEIT launched without errors immediately.

I was hesitant to use a beta BIOS, so I just want to let anyone in the same situation know that it will most likely fix the issue.
