Enabling Secure Boot – FACEIT
Secure Boot should be set to "Windows UEFI Mode" on ASUS motherboards, it might be called "Standard" on other motherboards. If you can select between "UEFI" or "UEFI with CSM", make sure to select "UEFI" Gigabyte: set CSM to "Disabled", then you can open the "Secure Boot" menu...

r/csgo on Reddit: FACEIT Secure Boot “Not Active” on Gigabyte motherboards — ACTUAL FIX (no Windows reinstall)
January 5, 2026 -

I post this because I wasted many hours on this problem. I could not find a full fix online. If FACEIT Anti-Cheat says: Secure Boot not enabled TPM / IOMMU missing Secure Boot is Enabled but Not Active And you have a Gigabyte motherboard, read this. ❌ What you see FACEIT blocks you Secure Boot looks enabled in BIOS But status says Not Active Key Management is grey System Mode says Setup This is a Gigabyte BIOS problem, not you. 🔑 How to enter BIOS (very important) Restart your PC When you see the GIGABYTE logo, press F2 (on some boards DEL also works) You are now in BIOS If you see Easy Mode, press F2 again to enter Advanced Mode ✅ This FIX works (no reinstall) 1️⃣ Update BIOS Go to Gigabyte website Download latest BIOS for your motherboard Update using Q-Flash After update: Load Optimized Defaults Reboot and enter BIOS again 2️⃣ Basic BIOS settings Go to the Boot tab (top menu): Boot CSM → Disabled Boot Mode → UEFI Go to Settings → Miscellaneous: Intel PTT (TPM) → Enabled VT-d (IOMMU) → Enabled Save if needed. 3️⃣ Check Windows (important) In Windows: Press Win + R Type msinfo32 You must see: BIOS Mode → UEFI Disk must be GPT (Disk Management → Disk 0 → Properties → Volumes) If GPT + UEFI → continue. 4️⃣ The missing step (THIS is the key) Go back to BIOS: Boot → Secure Boot Change Secure Boot Mode → Custom Press F10, save and reboot Enter BIOS again (F2 or DEL) Go to Boot → Secure Boot Open Key Management Click Restore Factory Keys Press Yes Go back Click Reset to User Mode 5️⃣ What BIOS must show now System Mode → User or Deployed Secure Boot → Enabled Status → Active (Optional: change Secure Boot Mode back to Standard) 6️⃣ Final check In Windows → msinfo32: Secure Boot State → On BIOS Mode → UEFI 7️⃣ FACEIT Restart PC once Open FACEIT Anti-Cheat You should see green text: TPM, Secure Boot & IOMMU are enabled Done. 🎉 🟢 Important notes Deployed = GOOD This is normal for Gigabyte boards You do NOT need to reinstall Windows Most guides miss the Custom mode step

Honestly this post was created with the help of chatgpt because English is not my native language, but it did solve my problem and I hope it helps other people as well.

Enabling TPM 2.0 – FACEIT
TPM 2.0 is a critical security feature in modern PCs, and it’s required to install Windows 11. To maintain the integrity of competitive play, we require all users on Windows 10 and 11 to have TPM 2.0 enabled. In order to enable TPM 2.0, you will need to set your BIOS mode to UEFI, if it is not already, ensuring Windows is protected from startup and providing a stronger, more secure environment for the Anti-cheat.

r/gigabyte on Reddit: How to enable Secure Boot WITHOUT black screen/bricking my motherboard?
August 7, 2025 -

I’m here along with a lot of others asking this because of BF6’s STUPID decision to make it a requirement. The last time I tried to do this (in order to upgrade to windows 11) it resulted in a black screen, no splash screen, nothing. I had to pull the battery from the motherboard, blah blah, we’ve seen this happen to a bunch of people I’m not the first.

Only issue I’m having is finding any resource on how to enable it without that happening. Only on how to fix it. Is there any workaround to this? Because I really don’t wanna have to do the annoying fix of resetting it every time. Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially since it seems Win10 will be dying soon anyway.
