SeeStar S30 Tested and Compared To the S50 Model - Smart Telescopes - Cloudy Nights
Hi,I received a sample of the Seestar S30 for testing yesterday so I immediately tested in both during the day and night! Seestar S30 Pro vs Seestar S50 - Smart Telescopes - Cloudy Nights
I am relatively new to this forum and I’m very excited about the upcoming S30 Pro. With that being said, in what areas/objects will the S50 still excel over the S30 Pro? Is there still a valid reason for me to hold onto my S50 if once I receive the S30 Pro? More on cloudynights.com

r/telescopes on Reddit: Seestar S30 vs S50
December 11, 2024 -

I currently own a Celestron NexStar 6SE, and I am looking at picking something up to try astrophotography. Both Seestars look like good places to start, but I do not know which one would be the better choice. My main reason for looking at these two scopes is their price. I would not have to make a huge investment, but I could begin learning how to take a process photos before moving on to a bigger, more expensive setup. Does anyone have a recommendation and why you would chose one over the other? Any information is greatly appreciated!
