Automate Your Browser - Selenium Tutorial
I have to ask -- why lately all tutorials go for the Chromedriver? What's wrong with Firefox, to which it's written and comes ready to be used?
Another thing: Yeah, the 'find element' of the browser does bring you a valid selector, but usually there are some cleaner ways Your example is
search_bar = browser.find_element_by_xpath("//input[@id='search_form_input_homepage']")
search_bar.send_keys("rebellion")Which is the same as
search_bar = browser.find_element_by_id('search_form_input_homepage')
search_bar.send_keys("rebellion")Using it's ID selector (which tends to be unique, unless the page is related to Google, which seem to love fucking up with automation scripts)
But overall, it's a good intro. Good job!

If you have 15 bucks to spare there are some decent courses on Udemy.
Spending a bit of money on a course can be a good idea when learning something new because it makes you more committed to finishing it.
