To tell the truth if ur goal is an e-commerce store, Shopify might be the better choice because it’s designed specifically for that purpose. WordPress on the other hand is also very powerful if you want more customization options = More flexibility. Answer from IMGLORY-com on reddit.com

r/SEO on Reddit: The best website platform for SEO
September 29, 2024 -

Hi. Recently, our company had a debate about which platform is best for a client’s new ecommerce website - Shopify, WordPress, or maybe Magento. After a long discussion, we dismissed Magento as having fewer SEO capabilities compared to the other two. But perhaps there are other SEO-advanced platforms that are incredibly good for SEO?

So, I propose we discuss which website builders you think are the best for SEO. This could include online stores, blogs, small business websites, etc.

Please provide well-reasoned answers. Responses like "I love WP" won't be accepted :)

Hi I am with Shopify and I am disappointed with a lot of aspects of their service.

If I am moving my website to a different platform, which one performs best in terms of SEO for ecommerce? Which is easiest to transfer to from Shopify?

r/nocode on Reddit: Best platform for SEO-friendly website ?
August 21, 2025 -

Hey folks,

I’m looking for some advice on the best platform to quickly build a simple website that’s still SEO-friendly. I’m offering IT consulting on a very specific topic, and since companies will be required to implement a certain type of software next year, the goal is to attract clients in the short term. I don’t need anything complex, just a clean site that ranks decently on Google and can get online fast.

What would you recommend?

r/localseo on Reddit: Let's Settle This: What's the Best All Around Local SEO Platform (and Budget options)
October 17, 2025 -

Greetings all!

I'm on the hunt for a Local SEO platform for businesses in the U.S., but the market seems saturated in regard to most offering the same services with slight variations in limits, features, etc.

This is my current SEO technology stack as of right now on a budget:

  1. Dashboards and Reporting: A fully custom Looker Studio design pulling data from GA4 and GSC

  2. Keyword Research: A mix of ShuttleSEO and KWHero v2.0 (previous AppSumo deal)

  3. Keyword Tracking: SerpBear + Scraping Robot on a PikaPod

  4. Website Audits: SEO PowerSuite's Website Auditor (Spider Crawler)

  5. GMB Audits: GMB Everywhere

  6. SEO / AI Writers: KoalaWriter / SEOWRITING .AI / NEURONwriter

I have used Ahrefs, SE Ranking, Semrush, Search Atlas, and SimilarWeb, but I'm looking to cut costs where I can. Although these have great tools, they are pricey and IMO are glorified dashboard reporting tools with a few bells and whistles. They're great for SEO agencies, but for a freelancer with an SEO project here and there, I can't justify the cost.

As of right now, I'm considering the following platforms, and I'll break down their features and pricing. What I'm most interested in are your experiences with these, why you chose one over the other, etc.

If you're paying for one that's more expensive than the other, would love to know why.

If I left what you're using off the list, please share!

r/SEO on Reddit: Best SEO tools if your company has very small budget?
October 29, 2024 -

We are a brand new business - trying to turn our little hobby into a business.

We sell screen printed shirts (I have 23 years experience working in the industry and starting my own now).

We have no income yet so its whatever we have in the bank - we want to do some print advertising around town and then try to optimize our website (wix) and google business profile with an online SEO tool.

We could maybe afford like $40 a month (eventually we will want to spend more but don't have money yet).

Best options?

I am shocked by many of the suggestions here. If I was doing SEO with $480 per year, exactly $0 would go towards tools. My take: You do not need tools to do SEO. Especially not paid tools. Use Google Search Console. It is free and already gives you a lot of data. The free version of ScramingFrog SEO Crawler is good enough for small websites. But unless you constantly change your website, you will rarely need it. Only if you absolutely need information that you cannot get from free tools or if there is a workflow that you wish to automate/improve, then you should think about buying a paid tool. optimize our website (wix) and google business profile Focus on the Google Business Profile. You are much more likely to see results quickly. Especially if you have no background in SEO. The most important things you will need is: Filled out profile Good reviews from happy customers Good pictures we want to do some print advertising around town That is exactly what to do for this kind of business. This + other forms of marketing/advertising + Local SEO are the way to go. Traditional SEO is unlikely to drive you significant traffic in the first 12 months. Another piece of advice: Put your target keywords into Google and see who is ranking. Many will be directories. Try to get on there!

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to improve local rankings for a few small businesses (mostly service-based). I’ve tried local falcon, but I’m curious what other tools or platforms you all are finding actually helpful for local SEO these days.

Whether it’s for citation management, review tracking, keyword research, or local rank tracking — what’s been worth the money (or time)?

Would love to hear what’s working for you in 2025.

They only get more expensive. Ideally one that has a lot of features the rest charge for.

I've been searching for alternatives for days but all of them are ultra niche. I'm sure there must exist one that has most SEO features I need. Our agencies budget is at most $500 per month for SEO, and currently we're spending more than that only paying the subscription for several paltforms.

Hi All, I am having a design and developer create a website for my business and wanted to see which platform you all thought was best for SEO management in the future? I won’t have the design/developer be doing my SEO given that is not their expertise and I want flexibility in choosing who does my website maintenance and SEO. It’s not an e-commerce website and more of a landing page for services provided. Some people say Wordpress is pretty universal for most and others say it’s outdated. Appreciate your thoughts!

I’m working with clients in home services industries like roofing and general contracting, and I’m responsible for building their websites and handling their SEO. Right now, I’m considering using GoHighLevel to create their websites, but I want to make sure it’s a good platform for SEO.

Does anyone have experience using GHL for SEO? Is it effective in bringing solid results for clients, or would it be better to use a different platform? I really want to deliver the best results and maximize their visibility online. Any advice would be appreciated!

r/SEO on Reddit: Best software (SEO HELP) for a small local business with little 4-5 page website?
November 6, 2024 -

I have been trying to use Google Keyword Planner, Google Analytics, and other free options.
Not much help yet.

What I need is step by step guidance.
I need a site to look at my pages and say add this here, add this there, add these pages, here is some content I wrote to add over here. Here is a blog post our AI wrote. I can maybe spend $100 a month for software.

Some I have heard of are these - but no idea what ONE site would be best to subscribe to:

  • Localo

  • LocalID

  • SpyFu

  • SemRush

  • Moz Local

  • Ahrefs

  • Hike SEO

  • RivalFlo

  • SEOptimer

  • Clearscope

  • WooRank

  • BrightLocal

  • Screaming Frog

Any thoughts - what I need is a guide.

I am talking to a couple companies but they want $1000 a month and we are not there yet.
We are hoping for a tool that can act like a guide and hold our hands through this - not just spit out a bunch of analytic data that we have to deciper and figure out what to do .

Just tell us what to do and how to do it technically.

Nathan Gotch helped me a ton. He has a lot of great vids on Youtube. I think with your budget it’s best to learn the basics yourself. Then, you can use screaming frog for free to improve the more technical aspects of SEO for your URLs. Cheapest (and pretty good) SEO tool that you can use for your content is Keywords Everywhere. Again, just look on Youtube for tutorials. Hope this helps!

Is this a Wordpress site? If so, use an SEO plugin like All In One SEO and follow a few tutorials to get it setup correctly. Then follow the guidance the plugin gives you for each page of your site to optimize it as best you can. You can also pay somebody on Fiverr to do this for you. Add local business, webpage and FAQ schema. Make sure your GBP is also well optimized, get some good reviews, add photos, add your services, hours, links to your socials, add posts etc etc. Basically fully fill it out so you get the green profile strength. Then do a Brightlocal citation building campaign and have them create all 100+ citations that they offer. Give it some time and see where the site is sitting in the rankings after the citations have kicked in. if you are not top ten within a couple of months you could do a press release, map stacking and niche edits via Legiit. If you still aren't top 5 after that look at your competitors and how much site depth and authority they have. Pay somebody to do a small local SEO audit of your site to see what else needs to get dialled in.
